Yes micaeldb, you have just hit the point. Png images with alpha channel are undoubtedly more usable. Also, why sell thousands of times an image with a white background and then forcing buyers to waste time to remove it? It is much smarter to sell the image without background.

You're right, but sales of the images are not currently active. Your image has been regularly purchased and used to create a sample image to make users understand the potential of PNG images (transparencies, light reflections, layout...).
Do not worry, we will remove it early start selling images.

with glad I found this post and would like to add some information about it.
I am one of the authors who worked on the construction of http://www.pngstock.com, as mentioned on the site, pngstock has been designed and developed by sellers of images like you. And it is for this reason that we decided to pay all the authors with the highest royalty possible.
The site is obviously based on Wordpress, it has been online for a few weeks and there are only very few PNG images as an example.
