No more download than usual, but with 3 extended RF license sales so far in March, it's going to be my BME there :) .... unless everything stops now...
#3
I've had the same problems here, I used SmartFTP and also tried Filezilla without more success.
#4
I definitly will have to get a better look at www.jalbum.net
:)

Thanks

Thanks for the links, some are really interesting. I'm starting to look for putting up my own web site.

If anybody knows of places to buy good templates for photographer sites I would highly appreciate.

I'm looking for something that looks professional, that is fully and easily customizable, also, if there is a setup to upload customer pictures in private sections it would be a nice bonus.

PS I already have a domain name and hosting service with lots and lots of room

Thanks  :)

It looks like all my pictures are missing...  :(

I can't find a single one of them even in my profile.

FileZilla is good and free but you can only upload to one site at once. This is why I bought SmartFTP, with it you can upload to many sites at the same time.

Usually I upload 10 to 15 files to 14 sites before I go to bed, and when I wake up everything is uploaded. It's only a matter of a few minutes on each site to complete the uploading process.

Edited ti add:

Oops, just notice that you were looking for a free FTP client. Before I bought SmartFTP I did some research and could not find a free one that had the multi connection option... this was the most important option in my case.

I was still uploading but I think that I might stop for a while... I just got a mass rejections of 110 pictures... >:(

0 were accepted... the previous batch of about 120 pictures were accepted at about 85%

I hate that when this happens  :(

To add to the DPChallenge necessary bbcode, code is already there, please visit microstockbutton.com

For example - http://www.dpchallenge.com/profile.php?USER_ID=108682

Yes, you are right, I did not see it the first time, it works great now  :)

Thanks

funny thing, I earn more $$ from 123rf than from istock. I dont know, perhaps my images are not what IS buyers want, but I dont know, I do well on other agencies. IS is worst earner for me. Dont like it at all. Slow upload process, low money....

FT vs DT?

FT has problems lately with low sales, and If they dont improve them selves, than I would vote for DT....

I agree with everything you said :)

I found out about microstock when I was on DPChallenge and the topic came up multiple times on their forums.  In fact at least some DP Challenge members are "microstock famous" in some way or other:

Leaf
Nico Blue
Mel King

All DPC'ers.  I'm sure there are HUNDREDS more.  My join date for most stock sites is 2004. lol

I also found out about microstock of DPC  :)

I got mine removed last year, I just wrote and asked them. They responded within a few days...

Some answers ...

Thanks, I didn't see that tread in the quick search I did.
#22
I did not find many treads talking about Panthermedia.

Anybody uploading there? What's your overall experience?

How about the acceptance ratio? Is the process of uploading easy? Did you get sales yet?

Thanks

I think that I will stop uploading to Fotolia for a while. My last batch (7 pics) were accepted 100% at Dreamstime and refused 100% at Fotolia.

In the last few weeks, acceptance ratio is about 15 to 20 % at Fotolia and the same pictures produce an acceptance ratio of about 60 to 75 % at Dreamstime

I'll start uploading to them again when I hear from you that it's better, I did the same thing when StockExpert was rejecting almost everything.

Hi

I did upload 109 pictures quite a while ago, but they don't show up in the Submission status, but when I connect with the FTP software I can see them on your server.

They have been sitting ther for several weeks, is that normal?

Thanks
