Hi:

I would like to submit these two photos for Istock consideration; they were edited with Lightroom 3 and Photoshop. Would appreciate any feedback.

Hi:

I have had two DLs but the downloaded images are not showing, nor is the count. Has anyone the same experience?

iStockPhoto.com / Applying for exclusivity at Istockphoto.com
« on: April 07, 2010, 19:07 »
Hi all:

I am trying to apply for exclusivity at Istock; I have closed almost all my portfolio with other stock agencies, except for one. Based on the policy of this particular stock agency, I will not be able to close my account for a few months.

Should I apply for exclusivity anyway and hope that Istock will take my continuing effort to close all other accounts into consideration, or should I wait? My earning has suffered since I am not an exclusive Istock contributor and would like to catch up on some sales.

Thank you much,
Stinkyjess

Computer Hardware / External hard drive media storage
« on: March 07, 2010, 01:06 »
Hi all:

I have an external hard drive connected to an ancient IMac. I would like to access the data by hooking it up to a Window-based laptop, will the action adversely affect the data stored on the hard drive? I hear the external hard drive will have to be reformatted and that all data on the medial storage device could be erase.

Thank you,

stinkyjess

Computer Hardware / Image storage options
« on: September 19, 2009, 19:40 »
Hi all:

Wanted to get your thoughts on how you usually store your photography images. My external hard drive  (seagate to be precise) decided to call it quit on me less than a year of purchase. Needless to say, I have to weigh the loss of my images versus the cost of recovering the data.

For you professional photographers out there, what is your advice on image storage option? Would love to hear your thoughts so no one, including myself, will not have to go through this nightmare.

Thank you,

iStockPhoto.com / "Detailed Categories" selection problem
« on: February 14, 2009, 05:19 »
Hi all:

Not sure if anyone has encountered similar problem; while uploading images in the last couple of days, I have been getting the message "A problem occurred while communicating with the server. Please try again later" during the "Detailed Categories" selection process.

Is Istock aware of the problem?

Hi all:

I know this thread is a little outdated, but I was wondering if any contributor to 123RF is experiencing slow review. I have images in queue for over a week and they are still pending. What is the experience of everyone else?

I found one of my images used on this site while googling my name (I know, I am vain).

Depending on what type of photography I am doing -- I use created light for studio photography. Since my understanding of light deepens, I enjoy exploring available light. Hopefully I will be able to do more studio photography with natural light.

Photo Critique / Shooting in low light condition
« on: January 25, 2009, 01:33 »
Hi to all:

I enjoy shooting in low light condition; to me, the dramatic effect of the sky and clouds moves me. The following links is a picture that I have taken of a gloomy day by the aqueduct. I didn't do too much post-processing on the image. Feedback is much appreciated

Hi Leaf:

I did as you suggested, typing in the istock image number into the provide web page and this is what I got (in red):

Microstockgroup Istock Lightboxes

There was a problem adding this image to the Healthy Foods lightbox
It looks like you still need to add the appropriate banner to this image.

Here is the text you need to put in the description

Click the thumbnail to go directly to the image edit window
(remember: you need to be logged in to Istock to edit the file)[/font]

So that is what i did, going to my image page on istock and paste the above url onto the " Add To A Lightbox" description window. .

Please advise.

Hi Leaf:

I checked the images I added and they are not in your managed lightboxes :(
I followed the instruction as described in my last reply.
Sorry for the inconvenience; maybe I will try again tomorrow.

Thanks much,
Stinkyjess
