This is what they emailed me last night:

"Thank you for your enquiry.

The tax forms are currently in the process of being ported to the Tax Centre page to be made available for download. It should be available soon within the next 1-2 weeks, at the soonest possible time.

Hope this clarifies, have a nice day!"

That's the same email I got - a month ago.

1099's are still not out.  Ridiculous!

I contacted them about 2 weeks ago and they said that the 1099s would be available around the "first of March".  Still waiting...

Even though their manual keywording is a pain I am moving away from SS and uploading to Getty more and more.  I am getting sick and tired of ridiculous rejections for no good reason at SS.

Hi Jens, thanks for pointing that out. I see what you mean. I normally increase saturation by increasing vibrancy and contrast, and sometimes I use single color saturation sliders. I edit in Lightroom.

I could indeed be more selective on which colors I saturate.

Thanks, good points.

If you have Photoshop you can increase contrast with a contrast adjustment layer and change the blend mode to 'luminosity' (instead of the default 'normal') which will create less unnatural saturation of colors, esp. the darker ones.

Sounds like a great idea to add the Symbiostock.info card to our individual sites.  If fact, if you do this would there be a need to add individual site symbiocards since presumably just about everyone would be on the Symbiostock.info list and you would presumably already be networked with them?

......
Thank you very much for adding me.  In order to re-run the images do I just run 'reprocess' using the bulk image settings or do I hit the 'update' button at the bottom of the Symbiostock tab with 'Update public image info' checked?

looks good -- 91 sites now & over 91,000 images

Wonderful.  So do I just periodically do the 'Update public image info' routine for subsequent image file uploads to make sure that my images show up in the search?

I've added you to the global search at http://symbiostock-search.com

but you need to re-run the images update since the /symbiostock_image_info.xml file isempty

You have Nextgen plugin installed and it disables public image info, so your images won't be indexed in external search engines, like symbiostock.info or symbiostock-search.com. Maybe this problem will be solved in next Symbio versions, but now you have alternative: Nextgen or global search :)

Thanks, I had no idea.  I was just playing around with Nextgen but wasn't really using it so I have disabled it.  Is that all I need to do to get back on the global search?

Great images! Excellent portrait of the gorilla. And love the macro of the dandelion. Nice work and welcome to Symbiostock!

I also like your watermark...you have solved the problem of it showing up on both light and dark photos. I have been having that problem and am going to change mine to accomplish what you have.

Wow, thank you all for the warm welcome.  I feel a bit intimidated looking at the quality of your portfolios but I am really looking forward to sharing the Symbiostock network with all of you.  I am pretty much a one-trick-pony in that I love to do landscapes/nature but I have no clue about how to do decent portraits, isolations, and other stock techniques.    I am more than ready to learn, however.  I already have been helped immensely by Martha who pointed me to this thread.

As for the watermark, the first one I made was white and I noticed immediately a problem with invisibility against light backgrounds so I just duplicated it, changed it to black, offset it slightly from the white logo, and finally combined the two layers.  Very easy to do in Photoshop, even if you are like me and know next to nothing about graphics, vectors, etc.

Cheers,
Dean
