If it helps, if you want your 123rf pending forever files to be reviewed you can try and use this form:

It worked for me.

I have same problem. Say "Were sorry, but it seems like this redemption code has expired" but in email say "You have until July 2021 to redeem it".
Mat, what to do? My subs is expired, and I can`t use Photoshop any more :(

Codes from the 2018 program are valid until 2021, but due to a glitch some codes expired early. Please contact the Contributor Success team via the contact us link at the bottom of the contributor portal to let us know that your code has expired. We verify your info and will issue a new code.

thanks,

Mat

That's great, Mat.
Thanks!

Hey Mat,

I'm also confused. Can you please help me with this:

I've received the "Creative Cloud Bonus" code last year. I haven't activated the code yet. I tried to activate it now and it says it's expired.

But here is the email I've received from Adobe:

"Dear -------,

Last August the Adobe Stock team launched a Creative Cloud giveaway program to reward our top contributors. Congratulations, you are one of them!
You were awarded a 12 month free Creative Cloud subscription, and received an email from [email protected] with your redemption code. We noticed that you havent redeemed the code yet to start your free access to Lightroom CC, Photoshop CC, and more.
In case you overlooked the previous email, your code is -----. You have until July 2021 to redeem it. ..."

So as stated in this email I've received from you, the code should still be valid.

Can you please help me with this?

Thanks!

I believe the reason why sales dropped on VideoBlocks / Storyblocks is because they changed their search algorithm.

I haven't checked this for some time, but now when you search you only get result from the Member Library - the Marketplace result are now separate somewhere in the bottom of the page.

Some time ago the default search filter was set to All, now the default is Member Library.

Even more, sometimes when you click on the Marketplace videos from the bottom of the search results page you get a pop-up warning message: "Marketplace clips are not included with a subscription."

So they are making it harder for clients to get to our videos... What do you think?

I just "sold" a video for $0.02 and my commission was $0.00 ...

I guess this is how the calculate 20.00% of $0.02 is $0.00 ... :|

Hello! Thank you!

I understand, do you have an example of such contract?

Thanks!

Do you know any websites where I can find templates for this type of contract?

General Stock Discussion / Contract to hire a Videographer
« on: March 26, 2018, 05:41 »
Hello!

I've been shooting stock video for a few years on my own. Now I'd like to hire a videographer to help me and shoot video for me.

What type of contract should I make between me and this videographer so that I own the copyright on the video he makes, and so that I can sell it on any stock agency website?

Currently I'm producing stock video as a freelancer, so I don't have a company yet.  Is it possible to make this contract between me and him as freelancers, or I must start a company and make the contract between my company and him? Does this contract need to be registered somewhere (I want it to be valid worldwide)? Do I need to send this contract/inform the stock agency about this? Note that these are related only to the copyright for video aspect of the contract.

Yes, I know I have a lot of questions :P, but if any of you have any experience in these I'd relay appreciate your insight, or examples of such contracts.

Thank you!

Does it work for videos too?

In many countries TIN = u're ID number (personal identification number). For ex:  if i'm going to pay my taxes in my country ,
the form that i'll fill it asks for my ID number. U can try with u're ID number...

Ok, I'll try with that and see if they accept the form.

Thanks !

I have the exact same problem here and I put my ID number as you guys suggested, could you please keep me updated if the form got accepted?

Looks like my form got accepted by VB, not sure what happens next, just hope the ID number I've provided is what they need...

Thanks for the info.

I've replied to VideoBlocks asking for some clarifications, but no response so far.

Hello,

I've just received this email from VideoBlocks:

"Footage Firm Inc. dba VideoBlocks, GraphicStock and AudioBlocks is in the process of preparing its tax forms for 2015 and noted per our records that you have not completed either box 5 or 6 of the w-8 form that requires providing either an ITIN, SSN, EIN or FTIN in order to claim tax treaty benefits.

Per IRS guidelines, you are required to fill in the aforementioned boxes as you are claiming a reduced rate of, or exemption from withholding as a resident of a foreign country with which the United States has an income tax treaty and who is eligible for treaty benefits. Please refer to the top of page 6 of the form instructions: https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs- pdf/iw8ben.pdf- "To claim certain treaty benefits, you must complete line 5 by submitting an SSN or ITIN, or line 6 by providing a foreign tax identification number (foreign TIN)." As such, it is mandatory that you provide one of the two forms of tax identification numbers referred to above. If this is not received by us, you will be taxed at the highest rate of 30%.

We understand that you may not have provided this information previously or with other agencies; however we appreciate your cooperation to assist us with complying with U.S. federal guidelines.

Please complete the form and send to us at your earliest availability, but no later than Tuesday, March 29th 2016.

Let us know if you have any questions regarding this."

I am a resident of a foreign country that has a tax treaty with United States for reduced rates to 10%.

I do not have a TIN or ITIN or any tax number as this is not required in my country.

All other agencies I submit to didn't asked me for a TIN or ITIN, I've not completed lines 5 and 6 from the W-8BEN and everything was ok.

What should I do? Did anyone else had this problem ?

Thanks!

Alamy.com / Re: New to Alamy? Read this! :-)
« on: March 07, 2016, 14:38 »
Hi James, been with Alamy for years and I think you are doing a great job.  Not sure what you are doing with video though?  I hope you will open up video for everyone.  I think Pond5 has been almost like a video version of Alamy up until recent months but now there are signs that they are making changes that are bad for contributors.  I'm sure Alamy could establish themselves as a serious site for video buyers if you followed the same strategy you have for stills.  With 4K video being relatively new, there's a good opportunity to grab a share of the market, if you grow a big collection.

I agree!

I'd also be happy to become a video contributor at Alamy if you will open up video for everyone.

I think every agency has its own loyal customers.
And looking at Alamy's video library I found that there are a lot of categories that are not covered...

But it seams that they are not interested in ... expanding.

Thanks for your thoughts !

Alamy.com / Rejected as video contributor on Alamy
« on: December 11, 2014, 11:55 »
I applied as a video contributor on Alamy and added a link to a selection of over 300 videos from my portfolio.

After a few weeks I received an email saying: "we are not looking to take on video content of this nature at this time".

The strange thing is ... I made a separate webpage for this application and sent the link only to Alamy. And after I got the email I checked to see what videos they viewed ... and only 2-3 videos had views (that could have been made by me) ...so I believe they haven't even looked at my portfolio...

So is anybody here an Alamy video contributor and can tell me what nature of video content they are looking for? Or how did you managed to get accepted?

Thanks

Try this, worked for me.

I opted out from here.

Just de-select the video clip sub sales.

I hope it works.

General - Stock Video / Re: dust spot on video
« on: February 09, 2014, 14:10 »
Hmm... here is another quick way to clean a dust spot on a video: put a watermark over the video (but not near or over the dust spot) and send the video to me. I'll edit it and show you how I did it. (maybe make a short video tutorial about it if I have time) (Note: I'll probably use After Effects)

And if Beppe Grillo wants and has time.. to edit the video in Photoshop you can send it to him too and we can compare the result: After Effects vs Photoshop.

Mantis I can try and remove the "Goodyear" logo but I can't promise anything until I see the video.
