The initial AI check is here always checking for noise and stuff (unless you marked it as a re-delivery, I  think). You will get a notification within a few minutes when it's rejected.

The initial AI (sorrry... AS) is badly trained.
It confuses photos with pattern like details for noise/pixelation.
Below is an example of perfectly fine, noise free photo (100% zoom) instantly rejected by the SS AI (sorry... AS). The rejection was always instant, no matter how many times the upload (with or without other changes) was tried.
The same photo was accepted by a human, after 3 days,  once a case number was provided.

yes, i've had similar images rejected en masse for 'exposure', then accepted with a case #

How do you get a case number?

General Stock Discussion / Re: Rejections on adobe
« on: June 12, 2023, 10:35 »
Same problem. I am contributor for more than 10 years, with approval rate above 95% (main rejections regarding intellectual property). Today I've got a 100% rejection on a set, quality issues. I don't think I've changed my editing style/skills in the past months/year and my images are all accepted on the all other big agencies.

I am in for 3 months and by now Lifeographies is on 5th position by monthly revenue, in my 10 top, above 123RF, Bigstock or Depositphotos.

It's easy to upload on Bigstock, using FTP. And now is even more easy to submit the content (only 2 categories). In 10 minutes you can send to pending 100 images.

EU is a banker fascist corporation working to undermine european countries financially and socially.

First one, you don't understand the word "fascist".
Second one, we are so financially and socially undermined that we dream every night to emigrate to Mother Russia, the place of Heaven and of The Only Truth :)
I was ironic.  :)

This is the best, in the same image:

Focus--Subject is blurry, too soft, or out of focus when viewed at full resolution.
Noise--Image contains excessive noise, grain, artifacts and/or is poorly rasterized.
Overuse--Image has excessive noise reduction and/or excessive sharpening effects applied.

So ...

1. is too soft but too sharp in the same time :)
2. Has to much noise, but i used excessive noise reduction.
3. I used excessive sharpening but is too blurry and too soft.

I don't think the problem is in my garden :)

This is one from a set with 95% rejection after a set in the same way with 100% approval.

Alamy.com / Re: Alamy - is it worth the time and trouble?
« on: June 22, 2015, 08:34 »
Different microstock agencies have different reviews about what is Editorial (specifically about some travel landmarks) so it is possible that you have the same image as RF on Dreamstime and Editorial on Istock.

Which is no problem at all.
But still, on the micros they are all RF and thus can only be uploaded as RF to Alamy.
So if you think RF on Alamy is fine, you could upload them.
But as soon as any person is in the frame and you don't have a release, Alamy forces you to make it RM.

The problem with Istock, for example, is that they prefer to force you to upload the European castles as ED because they don't want to spent time to see which need property realese and which no (even from the public places). Also 123RF force you to upload almost all landmarks as ED because they don't want to track which is suitable for RF and which not.

I made the update and i already used Panorama option.
For me is a very good improvement, because i can merge 10 NEFs and after i am able to work on a DNG for all other settings on only one file.

I have only 2-3 Fb SOD / month. Last one was on 11th april.

General Stock Discussion / Re: March 2015 earnings

SS: second best match (subs record and 3 EL)
DT: -50% of average (disappointing)
FT: Normal (some constant growing in the past 4-5 months)
IS: Growth of direct dlds (double fo January)
123RF: growing (more than average, but my best year was 2012)

I am from Europe. If i received the status at 3-4am, belive me that the reviewer is not from Europe. I don't think someone is working in the night :)
Sometimes i get the status in the evening, sometimes at lunch and sometimes in the night.

Poor light?

Same situation.
I am a contributor from 2010.
From 2010 to 2014 i used to have 10-20% rejection rate (with pertinent reasons - shadows, soft colours).
From 2014 to 2015 i have inconsistency on this rate. Days with 95% approval rate and days with 95% rejection rate. The same type of images (travel), the same editing (saturation, shadows, sharpness/noise reduction).

18
One sold this month with 13 Eur for me. But you get one sale/3-4 months.
I have only 300 images there.

20 dld for me

20
I don't want to start another topic.
The inconsistency of reviews is annoying. Last week i had 100% accepted, this week 90% rejected. The same type of images, the same workflow and sharpness/noise reduction settings.

I try to keep all images at the highest size (i have a Nikon D600) but acceptance ratio is very inconsistent from a week to another. And the icing on the cake is that now (when they rejected almost everuthing) accepted one image previously rejected (rejected in a batch with 90% accepted).

I have to say that on all other agencies i have 100% accepted ratio.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Travel photography Sales
« on: October 29, 2014, 06:44 »
I live in Europe. I have 2-3 travel holidays/year in Europe countries and i earn more money from images that the cost of holidays. So, it is possible to earn more than the cost.
But, i don't stay at 5 stars hotels, i don't eat every lunch at restaurant and i don't fly at first class. I am not a VIP, i am just a tourist :)

Newbie Discussion / Re: How to improve new photo ratio?
« on: October 20, 2014, 05:19 »
I am for 6 years in MS with a portfolio of 1400 images. But i know that if i want to sell better i have to improve my number of files. I did a lot of photo sessions around my country and around Europe and i have a lot of "raw material", i just need to set a day target (3-4/day means 100/month). Last year a uploaded only 450 images, and i consider it a too small number.
