As others have indicated it depends from agency to agency: iStock - yes; 123RF - no; Fotolia - yes

As others have said it's difficult to see the technical quality from the thumbnails and I agree with the other posters.  It's worth trying to find a selection of subjects so may be worth only picking one of the nautical theme and then finding some other topics.  You might also want to look at the shadows in the images as SS often uses "Poor Lighting--Image has exposure issues, unfavorable lighting conditions, and/or incorrect white balance." as a rejection reason which I've found can often be shadows being too dark, a few tweaks and it's solved.  A couple of the images would probably fall foul of this from what I can see.

General Stock Discussion / Re: sale or no sale at 500PX?

I've had a couple of small sales but very intermittent.  The sales appeared pretty promptly but were held in pending until they had been paid.

Nikon / Re: More strange marks showing on D200
« on: May 13, 2015, 00:49 »
May be worth speaking to Nikon as they will likely have some records of the work done and probably some test images which may allow them to help.  When I had a lens adjusted recently they were able to tell me quite a bit of detail around what was and wasn't done and why.

Another one here not able to update SS as recaptcha doesn't appear.

It wouldn't surprise me if SS are starting to use the underlying data from EXIF's and other sources to monitor the review process.  Most agencies hold more data than they know what to do with, however, SS have put out a few blog posts recently that would indicate that they're focusing on it e.g. the pass rate for different cameras.  After reading that I went back and calculated my pass rate to compare and I was within a small margin of the average.

Hopefully this is what they're doing so that they can try and bring some consistency to their review process which is critical to they're success.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Huge April slump

Like others so far April has been a 'down month' both IS and PP, can but hope they have a delay on reporting from some of their partners.  Interestingly other agencies were up in April.  Could just be a a season blip due to the nature of my portfolio.  Probably just wishful thinking ;)

I saw a similar comment but had read it that it was related to contributors clicking through from e-mails rather than logging in and the vast majority of click through's were from iOS devices.  I have also seen comments that as a new venture they are taking a cautious approach and ensuring that it works for all involved on one platform before transposing it onto other platforms.  A sensible approach but if I wasn't on iOS I'd be champing at the bit also.

Can't say I've had any problems but may be worth a delete and re-install.  I even managed to get the 'If This Then That' integration working over the last couple of days which adds additional useful functionality.

Just a handful of subscriptions for me so far, so hoping they've got problems but not holding my breath  :o
