They are based in Hungary I think. Eastern European values and etiquette may be different than ours if catering for a different market.

I see...no point in uploading anything else until they get it sorted out then.

Just been trying to sign up to SS and they are asking for a scan of passport or similar ID (wish they'd ask at the beginning and not end of registration) - I've not been asked by any other sites for this.  What is this all about and is it legit?

Anyone know what's happening with submissions? Uploaded several days ago and no movement.  Uploaded to several agencies last night and all pics had been accepted by a couple of agencies by the time I got up this morning. What are they doing that's different.

Just received this email which clears everything up and should help other Newbies submitting for the first time....I guess different agencies greatly differing requirements.

"We cater to a full range of end users on STockXpert, some of them are image savvy, while others are not as comfortable with image manipulation. For this reason, we demand that all images submitted are ready to be used by anyone at anytime. We ask that logos and trademarks are removed, that contrast and saturation be adjusted accordingly and that all images be and look in focus. Some submitting photographers do have a hard time with sharpening. These images are also rejected. We look for generic and natural looking images as though the eye would see it."

Hi

thanks for replying fintastique.

It's a Canon 5D and I'm only using L type lenses...the pics are soft out of the camera (the norm for shooting Raw) but fine when sharpened...I would have thought their staff would take that into account.  I don't sharpen my RAW pics or conversions because I understand clients prefer to do that themselves.  Other agencies I'm submitting to say no sharpening.

I've sent an email to StockXpert asking if they want me to sharpen...just waiting for a reply.

Just had an email from StockXpert asking for me to upload more shots as part of my initial submission. They say the shots I submitted look soft, and may not be focussed...probably due to the fact they are digital pics and have not had sharpening applied from RAW to Jpeg.  Do they normally require pics to be sharpened before submitting...other stock sites do not and have accepted the same pics.

Any advice welcome

Hi

What's the minimum requirements for submission e.g files, size, file type, sharpened or unsharpened, etc?

Thanks
