Keep in mind that buying stocks is generally for the long term.
Most likely you won't get rich, but your kids might benefit when your stock is transferred to them in later years. 3
Bigstock.com / Re: IS http://www.crystalgraphics.com/ Is a agence of BIGstock?« on: December 26, 2014, 22:38 »
Back in the day, (1990's, I think,) Crystalgraphics sold 3d rendering programs. One such program, Crystal 3D,
running in MS DOS, had many advanced features, such as setting the position of lighting in a scene to the sun's coordinates, and others. For it's time it was nicely done software. 4
General Stock Discussion / Re: Needed: Easier Sign Ups Needed« on: January 19, 2013, 11:16 »
Makes perfect sense, js, thanks.
If you're planning to upload, you do need to read the contract that you're signing. It's a pain, and one can certainly skim or speed read once you get the gist of what's in each section, but given the problems of handing over your valuable property to an business that either isn't above board or has some onerous conditions, it's in your best interests to do so. 5

You want to sign with a new site.
Easy, just read and agree to the online documents. All ten pages of 'em. I know they have to cover the bases, but can't the process be simpler? Maybe you don't have a problem with that. Do you bother to read it all, or any of it? 6
New Sites - General / Re: Crystalgraphics who are they?« on: January 16, 2013, 23:31 »
Back in the day, they produced high quality (for the time) 3d rendering software.
It had many useful features but was easy to use. 7

New Sites - General / Re: Groan! Another new site: "We love your work...blah...blah...blah"« on: December 10, 2010, 07:55 »
I have submitted a few simple audio files on this site, had a couple downloads,
and like the way they keep the site going. This business is tough to break into, and though we've been burned too often, a few uploads can't hurt. 11
General Stock Discussion / Re: Allfreelogo : What is this?« on: July 23, 2010, 10:04 »
Thanks.
They replied quickly and say they are affiliated with Dreamstime and the vectors must be purchased so maybe they are legit. 12
General Stock Discussion / Allfreelogo : What is this?« on: July 23, 2010, 07:47 »
Found this site selling some of my vectors.
Anyone know if they are affiliated with our regular sites or what the deal is? Thanks - Jerry http://www.allfreelogo.com/ 13

Software - General / Re: Bryce 6.3« on: December 26, 2009, 14:31 »
I think so, though I have not done a lot with Vue. My cousin
owns Vue, and does beautiful work with it. Here's a sample. http://www.dreamstime.com/portfolio.php?clientun=Geoarts&page=&sortcriteria=8 15
Software - General / Re: Bryce 6.3« on: December 26, 2009, 11:06 »
When I started at Dreamstime in 2006, my original submissions
and much of my later work was done in Bryce. The only drawback is that it has no built in modeler, and the textures, imo, are not as high-res as they could be. Vue textures seem to be somewhat better, but good work can be done in Bryce. Each has it's own learning curve. Here's a sample of early work at Dreamstime. http://www.dreamstime.com/portfolio.php?clientun=Jerryl5&page=&sortcriteria=7 16

Illustration - General / Re: How to convert 3d render to .ai file?« on: November 21, 2009, 07:24 »
I had a similar request, and had no idea how to do it, but here's a link with some ideas.
I would think an .ai file has to be Illustrator version 8 compatible and contain no bitmaps. No bitmaps usually means no transparency or special effects since those would be flattened to bitmaps on export. Gill, good luck with your project, but I suspect a big problem
with being unknown is that if potential customers can't find you, or don't know you exist, you aren't going anywhere, even with good keywords. -God bless 22
