I've noticed that royalties can vary. Two downloads of the same image, the same size, same type, both Pay-as-you-go, even on the same day can earn two different royalities.
I use the iPhone app daily. One thing I wish it has was push notifications when I make a sale. I also wish it was possible to review sales at image level. Do you you use it and what would features would you find useful?
I've had a few downloads (which is great) this weekend but none have appeared in my uploads when I order by Last DL. I can't see what has been downloaded. Has anyone experienced this?
Recently one of my images was fast-tracked for approval ahead of others that had been uploaded a few days before it. Do iStock ever cherry pick images in the approval queue?

When "The Beast" is hungry how long will it feed off my fresh meat before hunting for a new carcass? For example, if I upload a batch of 10 and get downloads on the day it is accepted, the following day and the next.... how many days is it before the downloads from new search results goes?

2. I have had uploads waiting for approval for a week and a half now (its normally same day or the day after) - has anyone had experience of this in the past? By my own admission they are particularly good images and I am keen to see them accepted or rejected. Has anyone had to prompt Fotolia to review an image in the past?
I am considering getting a lighting setup as I live in a very dingy flat with minimum natural light. I've been experimenting with a daylight bulb in a desktop lamp but I don't achieve the results I want - natural light with no shadows. If I go for some flash units (I'm considering renting a US mailbox and getting Alienbees forwarded to the UK):
What is the difference between "the B400, the B800 and the B1600"? I guess its the amount of light its capable of creating.
Do I need two flash units - or could I use one combined with the daylight bulb in a desktop lamp?
