iStockPhoto.com / Refund Issued - No Royalties Removed!
« on: May 30, 2012, 16:59 »
Wow what a surprise!

         Dear Sandra

We regret to inform you that a refund has been issued for a purchase of your file ######:

         No Royalties Removed.

This is in reference to the file downloaded on: Feb 1, 2012

There are a number of reasons why a purchased file may be refunded: . . . .

You mean they actually didn't grab back the money? Am I reading it right? Anyone else get this?

Shutterstock.com / Account Re-verification
« on: December 28, 2011, 15:02 »

Late yesterday I got this email:

"Dear Contributor,

This is an important message regarding your contributor account at
Shutterstock.

To ensure that we maintain a trusted environment for image buyers and sellers,
we are performing a routine audit of our records. We would greatly appreciate
your help in updating your account.

Please provide a copy of your government-issued identification documentation
(ID) before January 4th.  These may be the same document(s) that you provided
to Shutterstock when you first opened your contributor account, or updated
documents that verify your identity."

Okay, so that is all fine and dandy and I appreciate the need for SS to do this but even though the email states I have a week to do this this morning early I open my email and I have this:

"Dear Contributor,

Please Note: Once your ID is submitted, your account will be
accessible, however, your portfolio will be temporarily offline.
Please submit your ID to ensure that your portfolio will remain live
and active.

We apologize for any inconvenience.  If you have any questions, please contact
Director of Content Operations Anthony Correia at the following email address:
[email protected]."

I have been a contributor with SS for nearly 6 years and I think this is totally unnecessary. I fully intend to supply the requested document but to take my account off line until I do is plain rude.

Anyone else get this?

Adobe Stock / Slow Payments from Fotolia . . . again
« on: December 19, 2010, 15:28 »
I've been waiting almost three weeks for a payment (requested 30th Nov) I know they are slow at times but this is the longest I've ever waited. I did email support with a query but no reply as of yet. Anyone else waiting three weeks or more for their money?

123RF / View Downloads at 123?
« on: February 20, 2008, 20:56 »
Okay, so maybe I'm just having one of my famous geriatric moments but ....

Just recently began uploading to 123RF and have a few sales but I can't figure out how to see which images I've sold without going thru my whole port.
Anyone? Help?
Thanks  %-)

iStockPhoto.com / Newest Images are a Flop?
« on: August 13, 2007, 19:16 »
My most recent uploads at IS are not selling at all, not even attracting many views. My older images are still selling extremely well. So what's happening? Are my latest pics just no good or is there something else going on here? Anyone else experiencing this?

iStockPhoto.com / Isolations at iStock
« on: February 26, 2007, 19:52 »
I'm going crazy trying to get my isolations accepted at iStock.
All of a sudden I'm  getting rejected for jagged edges.  I think one of the reviewers there is checking the isolations with zero tolerance. Thats plain silly. Even the very cleanest of isolations, once they are compressed, will show slight jagginess at 100% with zero tolerance, so I think its impossible to upload a jpeg-ed isolation that would be clean enough under those conditions.
Oh and that rejection reason of over filtering on images that haven't been filtered just boils my blood  >:(

Just my little venting for the day .. needed that.
