I have just noticed today Acanvas digital picture frames, offered me by FineArtAmerica. And...The royalty rate is $0.00005 per minute per image. After that you can read that this isn't a bad money - "That number looks very low, but it adds up quickly. Let's see how it works. There are roughly 43,200 minutes in an average month. If a buyer selects your image and displays it on his digital picture frame for the entire month, you would earn $0.00005 x 43,200 = $2.16 from that single device for that month. Now, if 100 different buyers did that, you would earn $216 for the month. That's not an enormous number, but it's not too shabby, either. Keep in mind, the Acanvas digital picture frame is being manufactured by a very well known electronics manufacturer (LG) who will be putting their full marketing might behind making this product a success and getting it into as many homes as possible. I think that FAA kills yourself with this product. What will be motive of buyer to buy a print when he can received for 2$ per month. Internet kills paper newspapers, the same begin to happen with our images. Digital future is as a low cost air plane company. Merry Christmas!

If i set "No" for image sales in my account setting in SS, but I set Yes for EL's does it mean that SS will offer my image only as EL for sale? I just dont want to sell images in 33 cents

I have earned above $100 in Shutterstock in May. Its 2nd June but the system not show $0.00. New earnings add to sum for May. Probably this is not normal.

My sold in Fotolia stopped after the news that Adobe buying photo marketplace Fotolia for $800M. Is it only my problem or really sold stopped there?

I have been surprised by PicFair today. I received email: You have sold a pic. My portfolio there is only 56 images and 3374 views. I signed up 2 months ago. Probably this is good result. I will receive my price till 1 moth. I would like to ask how was your October in PicFair? Are u happy with sales there?

Shutterstock's or Istock's reviewers are better. Which of the two teams gives a more professional assessment of your photos? In my opinion Shutterstock reviewers overdo with "out of focus" about images in focus. Please, share your opinions.

I have been approved to be contributor of Istock. Most of you have remembered - application 3 files must be approved to be a contributor. My 3 files have been approved but they missing in my portfolio now. Does Istock require to upload again the same 3 photos or these 3 files will appear later? In aplication form to be contributor missing fied for keywords of image. Is this the reason Istock to require approved files to upload again? Thanks

Shutterstock rejected my editorial images of the city of arts and sciencies of Valencia, Spain.
Reason - "We cannot accept images taken at this location for commercial or editorial use". What does it mean? If someone knows, lets write.

In our microstock poll results Self Hosted is in 3rd place. Wow! But which self-hosted provider is really working? I use Symbiostock and Photoshelter.
2 sales for me in Photoshelter/one of them print sale/ and 0 sales in Symbio in October. No technical bugs in Photoshelter and more in Symbiostock with new theme.
10% fee of sale in Photoshelter, 0% fee in Symbio.
10dollars month fee for hosting in both. Great option for RM images in Photoshelter, which missing in Symbio.
Please share yours opinions.

I have noticed that Shutterstock sells our images also in double size of original image, which is called "Super". If your original image is 2700x2028, super size is - 5400x4056.
I would like to ask do you upload images in double size in Fine Art America? Probably quality of resized twice images is good than even Shutterstock offer them?

Some questions: Do you use sandbox account or live paypal for your symbiostock site? I sold one of my image with paypal to myself, but dont receive message from paypal, that I received 2.5 dollars to my card. Is it normal/P.S. I used two different cards about purchase  /? Is this message appear later?
