First let me say please someone correct me if I'm wrong! This thread has been inspired by a few of the other threads lately about trends and the economy of microstock. Do you think that there has been an increase in the number of "solicitations" in the forums lately or is it just me? Are these just the normal ebb and flow or has the economic downturn been the underlying cause?  ???

New Sites - General / Hey another new one! imagestocker
« on: January 11, 2009, 08:56 »
Found this one just the other day in the ad bar on facebook! Looks like they have more nature images than anything else, no contributors, no sales, no views,  but 70% commission! Looks like they are trying to boost their data base by suckering in newbies from facebook with their p&s cameras. HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

Computer Hardware / Film & Slide Scanners
« on: November 09, 2008, 07:30 »
I'm considering buying a film scanner to start to achieve all my old 35mm film, a couple of hundred rolls of my own and who knows how many from parents and in-laws. I am wondering what others have used to do something similar? I'm not looking to spend a fortune on one like a Nikon 9000 or a drum roller but at the same time there seems to be all kinds of cheap low end dedicated scanners that look like crap. Dedicated or flatbed with transparency adapter is what I'm looking at now, any thoughts??

Thanks! :)

I came across this site a few days for event images. It looks a little off to me. Anyone else using this one or scared off by it?

Crestock.com / Confusing Rejections
« on: March 31, 2008, 00:11 »
Can anyone tell me how to question a rejection with crestock? I have just started uploading there and have just gotten back a large number of rejections, some do make sense but others refer to "Unfortunately, there may be potential copyright issues with the characters on the eggs" except there are no eggs in the image or trade marks! Any help would be welcomed.

Cameras / Lenses / An end of an era
« on: March 27, 2008, 12:52 »
Here is a link to a story about the end of the line for film from Polaroid. As much as can be said for the speed of digital and tweaking with software there is still something to said for the warmth and feel of film. Hopefully this will not be the absolute end of the road for instant film.
