The business model is based on buyers not downloading their full allotment.

? ? ?

"Hey, we can sell your whole port for cents - but probably no one everwill buy our offer" ???
or
"We will never do it. Promised. You can trusssssstt us..." (Spoken in a soft hissed voice. Whats the snakes name in "The Jungle Book" from Rudyard Kipling ??)

I am speechless in the light of such a high level of respectability. Promised ;-)

I am relaxed.
What i mean with "girls"?
Very simple:
It does not often make sense to discuss logic stuff with girls.
cleared?

btw:
There are only 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary, and those who don't.

3
really?
Quote:
" the lowest royalty on SS is 25 cent"

But they sell them for 23 cent over their "SEO-Sites"

Girls...

example:
Do not sell anything   [ticked]
--yes, do sell blue images  [still possible to tick]
--yes, do sell red images   [still possible to tick]
--yes, do sell footage        [still possible to tick]

If this contructon (and that is what you find at SS) does make any sense to you, any further discussion with you does not make any sense to me.

@Shady Sue
You are wrong!
principium exclusi tertii sive medii inter duo contradictoria
Think again.

So SS is tricking their buyers, or what?
Quote from one of these sites:
"0,23 per image"

Did you ever realized this??
I am sure that you will find your port there as well as i found mine.
http://vector-background.com/
http://hqstockphotos.com/
http://vector-set.com/
Cheap websites (smell quite bad like "SEO" and definitely is Duplicate Content for Google) selling your port?

Some questions to SS:
1: If they sell our images for 23 Cent / image.....how much do you keep and how much does a contributor gets? 8 Cent?? 4 ???
2:How many of these "partnersites" do you run?
3: where in our sales-statistic do we find these sales?
4: How can we prevent to get our images "sold" over these "websites"??

If the three last "Opts" would be dependancies of the first one it should b showed in a different way.
Any competent coder would show a dependency like that:
If Shutterstock : Opt Out --> nothing to Opt anymore

lets wait..
maybe someone has some experience with that.

Hi,
what happens if you opt in / opt-out like that?

Shutterstock :      Opt Out
Enhanced License :      Opt In
Footage Sales :      Opt In
Footage Subscription Sales :    Opt Out

Nice try .
Better luck next time.

PS:
What you offer is exactly what i had enough and what i am fed up about.
Chat, chat , chat and in the end nothing left than kind words and nothing changed.
I dont care about nice words.
I care about professionality, support and reliability.
And thats nothing one can excpect from SS.

And-.... i know a lot of contributors in my country who just gave it up to discuss with SS.
The next one in line is me.

Bye

Hi Fritz,

As a practical answer - since you're posting anonymously - did you apply to Offset?

No.
And i dont want to.
I am already fed up with SS , the lack of reliability and proper support, your arrogance and your strategy of never ever answer to a question.
And i dont want to be "double-fed-up".

Sorry Scott, but this is the usual blah-blah we all know very well from shutterstock.
kind words - no substance.

But lets accept for a moment that what you say is true:
That means there are no reliable rules which helps a potential contributor to estimate if his/her stock is suitable for Offset.
Do you really think that any reasonable person spends his time to submitt to Offset if there is a chance that tomorrow his/her content is not welcome anymore?

Fact is:
You accept at Offset rubbish (out of focus / blurred / poor framed) bul(l)shi(t).

And now a very simple question and i guess (but maybe you surprise us) you will talk around the topic like always and do not answer:
Why didnt i get an invitation to offset?
From the 10.000 images i submitted around 1500 got rejected.
Around 500 because of "poor framing" etc.

As far is i see these images would than perfect suits to Offset.
Or are they still to good???

I think many other members ask theirself the same question.

@Scottbraut:
Lets leave the sarcastic level and lets get serious.

What you are doing is a kick in the ass for every single serious photographer.

Do you sometimes have a look at the "images" you accept???

http://www.offset.com/photos/67093
http://www.offset.com/photos/60931

I would call that (its not even technical OK, not to mention professional) crap, garbage, trashwork, far away of beeing something conceptional or story-telling.
Its just cheap crap any Pro would be ashamed to show.
Serious Photographers are learning, planning, getting new gear every year, working hard...just to see their work go away for peanuts on SS while they have to face that boaring crap on Offset is been sold for 500$.

Ok, i think i gonna cancel my account on SS and just forget that idiotic stock-market-crap.
Glad i make my income with something else and not rely on that bloody exploiters-business.

Oh.......oh.....
i thought it couldnt get worse then in my posted searchresult "kids".
But i was wrong....

Look at this:
http://www.offset.com/search/fashion

Really, i was not kidding when i said that we usually fire even interns when they bring back such rubbish.
Maybe i should call that guy back we kicked out last week, hire him and send his "work" to Offset?

I have around 8.000 images online at SS , many! of them much better then the stuff i have seen at Offset - but nobody invited me.
I will send them some vacation snaps.
Maybe that works

I cant believe what i see.....
Look here ....specially the first line of images:

Even our interns would get fired if they`d make "images" like this.

and that crap was announced as the new high quality stock agency???
what a laugh...

Cutcaster / How to get a file deleted?
« on: October 03, 2013, 12:17 »
Hi,
does someone knows a way to get a accepted file deleted?
Looks like you have to write to the support, right?

That would be a reason for me to cancel my account.
They dont sell anyway.

StockPhotoMedia.com / How to get your account closed

Unfortunately the world is more and more packed with people who only understand "brute force" and who are resistent to any kind of reason.

Here is a way how you get rid of stockphotomedia

1: tell them by mail that you forbid them to sell any image which is longer than 6 month in their database. Put your lawyer in CC and tell them that you step into legal action without any warning if they sell one
2:  tell them by mail that they have to delete your account latest 6 month after your last upload . Put your lawyer in CC and tell them that you step into legal action without any warning if your account is still active after that date
3: Edit your profile and write "Dear Customer, you should better buy our images at SHUTTERSTOCK or any other serious agency"
4: Create a mail signature with a part like this: "DONT SELL / BUY IMAGES AT www.stockphotomedia.com" , link to this thread and tell them that you gonna leave that in your mails as long as they leave your account active.
5: use a bulkmailprogramm to ask them in very small intervalls for a confirmation and send this mail to as much stockphotomedia-accounts you can find. short down the sending-intervall a bit every hour.

in our case they confirmed quite early.
we only had to ask around 800 times until we got the confirmation.

And folks - i know much more of even worse legal tricks to annoy people like they are.
I definitely hate these "wannabee-Bonapartes" with their mean hostage-strategy

StockPhotoMedia.com / Watch out - they take your images as hostages
« on: September 11, 2013, 13:30 »
We made, as many others , in the beginning of our "microstock-career" the mistake to try many agencies, just to find out that many of them are highly unserious and dubious .

Stockphotomedia, for example, does not close down your account.
They expect you to delete every single image with a singular click on to a delete button.

We, for example, have some thousands of images in their database and it will take us a helluva time to get these thousands images deleted
This is their way to make you stick to them.
This is the most unserios behaviour i have ever encountered amongst 50 agencies .

Stay away of stockphotomedia!

Another reason of not sending them your images?
They do not sell!

SS in one month = between 200 and 500$
Stockphotomedia in more then 7 months = ZERO !!
With the same material!
