I think you can have an edge by doing HDR although it has to be done with moderation to be accepted...
This may be a stupid question but whats HDR? ^^

Photo Critique / Critique my landscape photos?

Here are some of mine that are up on a stock site or two. They have no or very little downloads (like one or two total lol). Maybe its my keywording? I submitted these and a few others into shutterstock for my application. Are they worthy to sell as stock or even prints?

Ok I think this is the area to ask this but I am not sure so be polite if its wrong ;) I was wondering what make the best stock subjects? I am into landscape and weather photography but I hear they don't do so well. Any tips or suggestions? And what do I do with my landscape/weather stuff if it doesn't sell on stock sites? ???

General Stock Discussion / Re: What happens to your older images?

Since most sites sell newer images better, are you able to re-upload your images so they show up in the newer category or would that be against some policy? Or even make a difference at all? Just curious   8)

Ok after you upload a bunch, what happens to the older ones? Do they eventually stop being downloaded? How many should one upload at a time?

Lol thanks for the numbers  ;) I guess it all depends on how popular the image is too huh? If its not something many people will use its going to be hard to make a dollar a month right?

Lol I live in a small town in Eastern Oregon but there seem to be quite a few photographers out here. How many photos do I need to make a good amount of money from microstock? Also, what do I do when they are out of date? Pull them down and repost them or post up new pics often to keep the sales going?

General Stock Discussion / Microstock/Macrostock full time job?
« on: August 29, 2007, 19:22 »
From everyones experiences here, is it possible to make a decent income to make this type of photography a full time job? I know we don't usually talk about how much we make (after seeing other threads) but examples would be greatly welcomed  ;D

I guess they take news images really and images for assignments but thats about it. So their buyers are picky, or very small in amount, or both lol. ::)

I heard you can make pretty good money doing assignments. I don't like dreamstime's assignment system, since its a big contest once a month, but are there any sites that offer assignments every time a buyer requests one?

Great info so far, I will have to try them out. Sadly many of my pictures are up on SPS and I don't like the idea that I am a victim of theft so I may go and contact the IFCC soon, or wait to see if I get paid.

I have heard so many photographers say they never been compensated. There are even topics on this site where many are saying the same thing.  The only personal experience I have had so far that matched anyone elses is the fact that they have never emailed me back about anything.

I guess thats a no :(

Ok so I had my hopes up for stockphotospot.com because $1 an upload sounded great to me, plus the 20 cents per download...but I have heard by so many that it is a scam. So are there any sites like it or better, but are real? I like the thought of a pay per upload kind of deal  :D But so far this scam site is the only one I have found  ??? Can anyone help me out?

Also if you have been scammed by stockphotospot please go to the link below and report it, please be sure to tell me if you do because now now I'm anxious to find out if its a scam  ::)
