Slow here as well on Adobe.

I tried another browser, pretty much the same. I realized the uploading occurs, just very slowly could take a couple of hours or more to upload 6 images. I suspect it will pass over time.

Did Adobe stop allowing uploads? I tried twice today to upload an image and just got spinning circle which never completed the upload.

Adobe Stock / Another Adobe Creative Cloud Bonus Program Email« on: April 10, 2025, 09:25 »
Not that long ago (month or two) I redeemed my Creative Cloud bonus code.
Today, I just got another email from Adobe saying: "we are pleased to award you with a complimentary 12-month Creative Cloud bonus code". Not sure if this is just a delayed congratulatory email or something different. Anyone else receive such an email recently? 8

Review time does seem to be inconsistent. I had one file which sat for close to a month. Then another file was reviewed in a day or two.

may sound silly, but I don't want to waste the disk space. My "C drive" available space is a bit on the slim side.

I've seen some youtubers claiming there is an incredible improvement in auto-selection in the current PS beta.

Does anyone know when the current Photoshop Beta (with it's apparently amazing auto-isolation tools) will become the production version?

General Stock Discussion / Re: istock exclusivity no longer a simple choice, now needs application?« on: March 13, 2025, 19:21 »
So are we assuming that after the merger, iStock exclusive content will be available on Shutterstock at higher prices?....so what will "exclusive" then mean if the content is available on so many outlets? Exclusive always seemed like a marketing ploy to me....I understand that it "works", but if a given "exclusive" asset has sold 1000 times, what exactly is "exclusive" about it from the customers point of view when it is being used in many places by many customers?

So their stock price exhibited a "reset" in the same way that contributors exhibit a yearly reset....poetic justice in a way.

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe announce images removals« on: February 27, 2025, 11:08 »A few of my best sellers were removed as "non-compliant" for use of AI. I don't use AI. I never have. I have sent support a message about that, and plan to re-upload some of them. Sorry to hear. Did the rejections appear as new rejections, or were they deep down in the rejection list commensurate with the time you originally submitted them? 16
Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe announce images removals« on: February 27, 2025, 09:58 »
If removed and appearing in the "uploaded files not accepted" list, do they appear deep down in the list based on date, or do they appear as new rejections?
For example, if they decide to "unaccept" a file submitted five years ago. Does the rejection appear five years back in the list or does it show up as the latest "rejection"? 17

I am more concerned with the drop in revenues than the site operational details.

General Stock Discussion / Re: My nex market for video footage is...on my You Tube« on: February 10, 2025, 13:56 »Wouldn't it be interesting if there was more innovation in pricing? For example, what if a site allowed you to go to a variable pricing model where-in say the contributor had the option to let an AI optimize the price of each asset so both the contributor and the agency would generate the most revenue? How about the contributor could set a price floor, but the site could "optimize up" the price. In other words the site could raise the price to make the most money for both the seller as well as the site itself. 19

General Stock Discussion / Re: This month's sales« on: February 04, 2025, 22:42 »
Regarding SS, I wonder how much of the variation in sales and income is regional. Maybe SS $$$ have virtually collapsed in the US, but may be doing fine in other parts of the world?...maybe where they spend their advertising dollars?

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Batch in Istock submission« on: January 31, 2025, 15:56 »Careful. The batch system at istock is not advantageous. When you submit a batch of say five photos only one of those photos will appear in search results. The rest will only be shown as similar images at the bottom of the main image page. Sales will suffer. Best to submit in as small batches as possible, perhaps only one photo per batch. Not sure what you mean by this? Do you mean if the "five photos" have the same subject and keywords"? I have submitted batches of editorial photos, but they are of different subjects. 23
Adobe Stock / Re: Adobestock Review Time« on: January 27, 2025, 15:51 »
Jo Ann,
I get your points from a "numbers game" point of view (the flood of AI images), but as someone who hasn't really submitted much AI, I haven't seen any kind of drastic earnings reduction from all the new AI content....at least not yet ![]() 24
General Stock Discussion / Re: 1099 and Paypal« on: January 25, 2025, 15:02 »
How and when did you receive a 1099 from Paypal? I have not seen one yet (in US). Is it possible you have to reach a certain dollar amount payout before Paypal issues a 1099?

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe Stock 1099 forms are available« on: January 24, 2025, 17:39 »Although I opted in to receive electronic 1099s last year, in today's mail there was a paper 1099 for 2024. Interesting. Maybe I will get a hardcopy in the mail. |
