Does anybody except Yuri who is in microstock business can live without this?
Well - i don't need it (at least i don't think so)... i rarely have issues with CA, but that could because of my lenses Good glass works wonders.
I have gos lenses and I still get CA when shooting white backgrounds so this LR option is a charm for me (IS are picky about this). I've never tried Aperture since I'm on PC but I can't live without LR now. I barely go into PS now. And the new LR 2.0 will have dodge & burn and other spot editing functions.

I didn't upload for 2 months last summer and my SS income went down roughly 15% (a lot more than the other agencies). The moment I restarted submitting, things went back up.
You really don,t need to upload that much to keep you portfolio "alive". I do believe constant uploads are the keep for maximum portfolio exposure at SS.

well we should try and all support one person at the beginning of the next month after our stock royalties are paid out. We were going to try this before, but then I forgot about it.
So after the shutterstock payments or something are paid out, how about we pick a loan.
Great Idea!

My objective is to have a total of 12 loans on rotation. I'm at 8 now and in April 4 more are going in. I love the site!

I'm only going to join new sites that pay me to upload my porfolio.

I found one of mine among the istockphoto ones, but I don't see the point. No one is going to use a watermarked thumbnail for anything, and as far as orphaned works, well, it's pretty obvious where to find the real owner. Why would someone upload all those?
Look more closely... not all of them have the watermark.

the best flash diffusers I found (and I tried a few) is the Gary Fong Lightsphere. http://store.garyfonginc.com/ls2-p.htmlI have 2 of them for my SB-800 and use them often. I don't know about the SB-600 though.

You might want to check out http://chromedigitalpress.com/s-07-photobookservices.html. They do soft cover books and have 4 color print process. I personally would never buy a photo book from Lulu. May I suggest MyPublisher instead of Lulu? I did test prints at both and there's a major difference in quality. lulu is color photocopy and MyPublisher is 4 color print process. Yes Lulu is slightly cheaper but ... you get what you pay for.
Mypublisher only do photobooks, they don't appear to produce a soft cover perfect bound book, which is what I want. Plus with a base price of $30, plus whatever (if) to ship to the UK, you're looking at selling it for $50-$60 to get a half decent mark up. I'm planning on selling these for around $25 max.
CORRECTION: They do a soft cover book, but only 20 pages. And you have to use one of their template. The books I've seen from LuLu easily compare to books you would get in a shop. Perhaps I'm just not knowledgeable to tell the difference.

No I haven't tried Asuka or Chrome Press but I have both of them bookmarked for future testing. May I suggest MyPublisher instead of Lulu? do you know how mypublisher compares to asuka books?

it is stated by fotolia's forum moderators that reordering doesn't change anything. you have to get it right before you hit submit
no wonder my sales suck big time at Fotolia - i use Aperture to manage my photos and it reorders all my keywords sorting by alpha. i'll never get a break at Fotolia this way
Same thing in Lightroom but I do reorder them manually in FT. It's worth it! Just good business.

I can tell you that not many microstockers make more than $30000/yr. When I hit roughly $30K/yr I was in the top 0.05% of all contributors on IS and FT (so probably most others as well) based on rankings and downloads. FT says they have 80000 contributors and IS says 50000. But I can tell you that it wasn't too hard to hit $30K and $60K shouldn't be hard either.

when I type "stock photos" or "stock photography" in Google I see adds by SS, IS, DT, 123RF, SV and even Albumo.... but nothing from Crestock. How are people finding you on the net?

HI Madelaide Since Leaf posted it here , I'm now an avid Kiva fan! I have now lent $200 and I plan on lending another $200 this year. I even added a Kiva link on my http://www.touchphotography.com/shop/ site! Here's my profile page: http://www.kiva.org/lender/yanik3104If each stock photographer would contribute just 1% of his profits, what a change that would make!
