I am with jh and had same size issue, their chat support are very helpful and changed the php.ini file so I could edit it.
Navigate to the file in the file section, near top of page is c ode editor, very tiny writing, select that and find areas to edit.  Will be back at computer in morning if you need help let me know

Pixart - I have started a FAQ, Tips and Tricks post in general.   I have added details on how to change name on photos there, can you see if it makes sense to the way you would do it when you get a minute ?

If wanted I will start putting together a FAQ page and post it here, adding to it as others come up with hints, tips, information etc.


WATERMARKS

Decide on your watermark and put it in place before you upload your first image.  Images are marked as you process them, once processed you have to re-upload images to change the watermark on them

Your watermark should be a transparent .png file 522 x 522 pixels.  If you do not wish to create your own the images will still be watermarked with the default interlinking SS watermark

Then go to your back-end Symbiostock page, Settings, and in the third option box down where it says underneath

"Transparent PNG image (522 x 522px). If not supplied, default watermark (Symbiostock S) will be used."

change the default watermark name to the name of your watermark

"symbiostock-watermark.png"  to "....yourwatermarksname-deletedots....png"

WORDPRESS LOGIN NAME - NAME ON IMAGES

When you get to the stage of customers viewing your thumbnails if they click on the magnifying glass your name will come up on the image.  It is strongly recommended that you add a name other than your admin identity. 

To do this go to "Users" "My Profile" then scroll down to
     
Username     ... possibly admin or whatever you chose when you created Wordpress ....   Usernames cannot be changed.
First Name    
Last Name    
Nickname (required)      ....  add the name you wish to appear with your images here ..........
Display name publicly as   ....  select it in the dropdown box ..

Save

In your Symbiostock settings page - what is the path name in the third box - above where it says     

"Transparent PNG image (522 x 522px). If not supplied, default watermark (Symbiostock S) will be used. "

you might need to change - symbiostock_logo.png to hitwatermark.png if you have not done it for the final bit of the path

Thanks.  It has become automatic to re-upoad logos/watermarks etc and delete bgnoise before I even go and look so I had not noticed 

Will only appear on your page when you do a search - for an example go to my page and do a search on "animal" or "graphic" some of my network will have results but if you choose "gold" they will all come up with results

Yes, checked and it works 

Click click, I dont have to recategorise the images each time, the ones I have added stay there

I have to redo my licence page and delete the new one AND delete all those extra categories every time I install a new version, I keep meaning to ask Leo to delete most of them especially that "Eduction" one

Even if everyone is actually live at the moment it is good to see it all working.

Maybe we should state in our (nearly) active thread whether we want to be part of the wide network, closed network or individual ?

I thought you could always explore, see prices etc before registering, that you only had to register to actually buy.   I think that is standard with download purchases, another site I sell items from allows non-registered people to purchase when it is being posted but if it is being downloaded they have to register.

The advantage of having the password sent to them is that it confirms their email address - the same place the download notification goes to if they "misplace" the site or page they ordered from.

I have a custom watermark - I think 522 x 522, does it need to be an exact size?

With Leo gone is there anyone else who can help me with getting paypal sorted -  I have tried it out in V8 as well.  I get paypal acknowledgements for payment and receipt, I get returned to the licensing page after payment but do not get any site notification of sale/payment nor any option to download after paying.

I am working in pounds sterling otherwise I would have two lots of currency conversion fees .
