Just thought - I imagine there should be a message telling us which image has sold, which size and who to ? I did not get one of those either for the test purchases
Edit: I have just put the link in back into paypal to return to the site page to get image - makes no difference, still no download link or messages (apart from paypals) confirming sale to site owner or customer
If anyone can work this out I think we must be almost ready to go ?

I took out the paypal redirect earlier to see if that was my problem, have not put it back yet.

Without know what information you missed out it is a little difficult to answer that one  x.com - why don't I use it - well, never having heard of it prior to this thread it is a would have been a little difficult. It is logical when looking for information about paypal to look on the paypal site not on something with a completely different name. I also gave up on the sandbox - have used one before but it was much more straightforward then. I just used real paypal with tiny amounts of money to test site out (paypal worked, getting downloads did not so if anyone has done both I would love to know how you did it.) I am using version 6

I have mentioned it in the business section of the talk photography forum today, will post a blog as soon as I am up on running on my photo site and have been posting progress type blogs while setting up from stockimage.kerioak which I think are getting picked up somewhere as I have had some comments left offering to sell me all sorts of things already I don't want to buy !! Needless to say they have been deleted. I don't use FB and Twit and that pin site as so many people think your photos are there for the taking (including the site owners it seems) so cannot help out there.
Maybe this is a bit of a catch 22 - we cannot advertise much until we have some products to actually show for it and prove to others that Symbiostock works so they will start using and help developing it so we can get more people using it and buying image licences from us - or something like that.

mtkang - you did get an answer from Leo in the last post in the thread you started about Symbiostock. If you feel you are unable to read some of the threads to work it out try looking at this thread http://www.microstockgroup.com/symbiostock-network-building/actively-working-on-your-symbiostock-powered-site/ where you will see some of the sites listed that have started working with the theme or - this is a post I put in the business section of a photo forum I am on which might help you A guy called Leo Blanchette has developed/is developing a wordpress theme called Symbiostock. I don't think it is available via wordpress yet as a group of us have been helping iron out the bugs and it is just about ready to use now.
The idea of it is a symbiotic group of independent microstock/stock sellers each having their own sites but being searchable from others as this gives customers a wide base to search from and will bring in more potential customers than being totally individual (which is also possible with this theme if you do not wish to network)
For instance I have a site and in my networking page I have five (current limit) other peoples sites listed. Someone searches for a "green tree" on my site and my results show, if others in my network also have green trees theirs will show up as well so if the searcher does not like mine they can click on one of my competitors/network member's images to see if they want that. Of the five people I link to some or none may link back to me but link to others, one of whom may be linked to me.
Or you can have a closed network where up to six people can each link to each other and no outside sites.
I have a link to my test site now in my signature if you would like some idea of what I am talking about. This site is constantly evolving so don't be surprised if things that are there one minute change the next.
If anyone does consider this (and I am picking my words carefully so please don't take offence) be very sure that your images are of a quality that would be acceptably by the stock sites so that you, and any potential network members do not get a reputation for out of focus or poor images as they have to look good at 100%, not just tiny
As far as I am aware none of the sites are actually live yet as we all want to get a good selection of images up first but it is a really interesting and promising idea for those who want to go independent. PS - thanks Leaf for a forum that evolves with its members needs and interests

No, what should happen. First time I tried I was doing it as admin  Tried again as a customer but still cannot work out where to down load image as customer area looks as it did before I paid I am probably missing (or have missed out) something really obvious but cannot see it Edited to add: I did not get a "thank-you" for being a customer email either, I think I have everything set up

Is this something that should be learned and set up when the site is started or is it something that can be done later as I have looked at it but don't have a clue what most of it means and if I stop to learn more about that it means that it is longer before I get my site sorted

Farbled - Great, first time I have seen mine come up on anyone else's page  Not so great - I cannot get yours to show -- I can get Leo's , Backyard, Stompstock but even changing position does not bring up anything else from yours, not even an empty box. I tried with and without the Q and the WWW. I tried on gold as well as graphic. Can someone else try yours to see if they have more success I do like your site logo, must sort out something better for mine.

This is what I have settled with (first few don't have it exactly like this but from now on they should) If anyone likes the idea I can make the psd file available so you can put your own details in - the colours just layers while I was testing it

When you get to paypal the prices are in dollars.
I have tried to change it (having no idea what I was doing ) after looking on the wordpress.org help pages/forums but broke the network page after trying to insert the following response to someone else which I found on the wordpress.org forums - I changed the original theme's name to symbiostock just to see if I could do it but after

Today is a special day! We've started incrementing version numbers. 1.1.1 is where we start.
3/30/13 - updated testing theme - please download - fixed categories to show child/parent relationships and no bugs plus some other things I can't remember.
Please let it be alternative currency Do you think this will be an option or am I the only one asking for it Leo? Not keen on going live in USD

Site: http://www.stockimages.kerioak.comHost: Justhost - https://www.justhost.com/ Results: Had to edit php.ini which required permission from them to be able to upload images larger than 4Mb - easily done but I think Leo has changed things within Symbiostock since then. Info: Probably owned by same company as Bluehost as shares addresses etc just slightly cheaper. Recommend you go for longest hosting period you can afford (with any company) as that works out cheaper, remember if you have a .com etc address they will usually require an extra payment yearly . Not voted in poll as was frustrating till I worked out the problem but very easy after that. EDIT: Do not trust their back-up system, create your own as they do not back up as regularly as they say, nor do they back up everything and if they lose one of your files during their own downtime they don't care !

If they are not showing when you are in the editing area look at the top right hand corner of your screen - immediately under where it says "Howdy *******" there is a tab saying "screen options" click this and you will get a drop down box that covers the top of the screen - click on "categories" and anything else you want to show up while you are working.

Before we all load too many images maybe we should share some thoughts on watermarks?
My thoughts - I want my watermark to identify me as well as make my image a little more difficult to use without extra work for whoever thinks it would fit their use without their paying for it (after that we have no control but at least it has been paid for once)
The big sites don't always need to put their names/web addresses on their watermarks because they are so well known (usually) and readily identifiable but I think we probably do so it is our signature as well as a watermark.
For some reason (networking and easy identification mostly) I thought that most people would probably base their watermark around the default SS, but it seems this is not the case, is it something we should think about?

Wondered if Leo (and others) would like to see how we are getting on so those of us that are are working with his theme could demonstrate how it is going, maybe we could add it here with comments such as

Cookie box, I don't know about the US but in the UK (Europe?) all sites should now state they use cookies and if you don't like it please leave - well words to that effect. I ended up contacting my ISP for assistance, although Leo did mention he might have a fix on the way I think
When I was looking for answers on the web I came across posts mentioned that sometimes .htaccess limits file sizes, in mine it refers to the php.ini file for limits

Editing Images
Sorting images does not "hold" so that if you have draft images "filtered" so you can find them easily you do one, then have to hunt though or re-sort which is not fast,
Later it might be useful to sort by day or week as well as month?

I had to stop for a while too. When uploading images they would load and then I get the warning sign saying it didn't upload properly. I tried various file names and file sizes with no luck. I had to take it down for now since I need my root site to redirect somewhere else for now. This is really cool and I hope you get the sub directory thing soon so I can play with it more.
Hi Farbled - I spent quite a few hours trying to get my images (over 5Mb) to load as well - eventually succeeded and I put details in this post http://www.microstockgroup.com/symbiostock-technical-support/image-upload-issue/ which might help you

A whimsical suggestion as probably just me but is it possible to move or have a "do you really want to delete this" option please when you are in "All images" ready to edit them at some point. At least twice, possibly three times this afternoon I have hit the trash instead of edit option - with a tablet and pen you don't even need to properly click, just hovering closely did it
