Sorry that I misinterpreted you, but if you would have looked carefully you would have noticed that:
The posts are NOT tagged, so the only way a thief could find it is that s/he stumbled upon it. Highly improbable imho. The chance to increase communication over stock site and forum borders is vastly higher. If I am mistaken please correct me. The thieves mentioned in the ShutterStock thread got caught because everybody worked together. In a case like the one you mentioned the easiest would have been to take immediately a screen shot as prove.

The idea of the blog is that everybody that is interested can subscribe via email/ feed to this blog and gets automatically informed when a new post is made. I have added my own email address so that people can tell me about relevant forum posts. Why? We all, or nearly all, submit to different agencies BUT we don't read all the different forums. I am kind of a forum addict and read at least most of them. That's all, those that are interested subscribe those that are not - not. I don't plan to denounce or even mention any names on this blog, it will be simply a kind of semi-automated alarm for forum posts about stolen or misused images. I doubt that anybody will subscribe to the feed/ email that has nothing to do with (micro) stock and I have also not tagged the posts so a "search for blog containing ..." is not possible. And for those stumbling over the blog it must be the most boring one in history. Hope that helps to clear things a bit. I will monitor traffic/ subscriptions for a couple of months and when I see no interest I take it done. Yes, I appreciate feedback if it is well founded, sorry, but I can't see much foundation for yours. But if you can prove me wrong and that it does more harm then good THEN I am more then happy to take the blog down immediately. SY

Have you actually looked at the blog? And noticed that it is not tagged, doesn't contain any info other then the link to the forum post? It is nothing else then a semi-automated email alarm system to pass messages quickly on to people who have subscribed to email or feed! Please, before giving feedback LOOK at things!!! SY

70 Images and 1 sale, but for the purpose you mention I would recommend FeaturePics, (Attention referral link ;-) as you can set their your own price. And also IV rejects a lot and quite irrational whilst FP admits nearly all. Sales themselves are also better PLUS each of your image links serves as a referral link so when a buyer you referred buys from them you earn your 70% share + 1.5% referral commission on images you can set your own price! Nice, not? Oh, and they also allow you to hot link your images from their site that means if your happy with their big water mark you don't have to host the images yourself nor to put your own water mark on! So, now you all know why I still submit there  ;-) Oh, did I mentioned that since I joined October 2006 I never experienced that the site was down? SY

I set here http://stolenimagesalarm.blogspot.com/ a blog up where I will post in future every alarm/ suspicion about stolen images I come across the boards/ forums I submit to. You can subscribe by email and/ or feed. This should serve to get information about possibly stolen/ misused images quick out to everybody concerned without the problem of posting in the forum of one agency information about another agency. Tell me please what you think (you will see this message across several different sites today, I want to get the word out asap, before the next case happens). SY

Perush, I actually had a similar idea, but went a slightly different route, I put up a little web site where to get good free images for different purposes. I plan to do a series of three mini sites over the next weeks "Free Images", "Buyers Guide" and revamping my old site about "Being a submitter". We could exchange some links ideas, do some networking etc. if you want. Phase one you can see here: http://www.freewebs.com/freeimageguide. I took the freebie route, because freebies is what a lot of people are interested in the first place, but when they don't find what they are looking for they will buy (happened even to me some months ago!). It is more a long term project but I have some nice ideas, if I would be only a better web designer! PM me if you would like to do some networking, SY

Thanx, that is the kind of links I am after ;-) SY

What to say? I was reluctant in joining a year ago, like today it was a time when a lot of new sites popped up and then disappeared in the abyss. I just registered to secure my user name and from time to time uploaded some images. As the site staid and the positive comments persisted I uploaded my whole portfolio there. Sure there are issues, some reviews lack a little bit relation with reality but hey!, that's the case on most, if not all sites. Sales have definitely picked up and I thoroughly enjoy the community there. Ok, I have to confess: My name is Sybille and I like LuckyOliver, btw, just because  you expect it from me, here is my referral link *lol*

Hi, I try to build up a database of on line/ digital stock libraries. And I am looking for links! So if you can help, please post links to stock sites in this thread, dont hesitate to include your referral link, in case I want to join *lol* But seriously now, my long term aim is to build up a data base of sites where to sell photos, illustrations and footage. This is a long-term project, so please dont expect soon a link to the ultimate and searchable stock directory ;-) I am especially interested in links of small specialized agencies type stock images of trains built between 1903 and 1904 :-) I can read fluently German, English (obviously), Spanish and French and defend myself in reading Dutch, Portuguese and Italian. So dont post Russian or Japanese links here ;-) Thanks ever so much, SY

Thanx SY

OOOPS! Sorry about this, I am not awake it seems, need more coffee! I thought the post was about 123rf

I stay with FP, not because of the sales, only reached one pay-out so far, just because I like the possibility to set my own price. *Tip-toes off to correct previous post*  :-[  *too embarrassed to put FP referral link in* SY

173
Do you have a link? SY

Just noticed, he displays images at 700x477px without a watermark, that might go against same tos. Just choose eco's lion as my new computer wallpaper, I hope you don't mind Nico ;-) But that means also everybody can save images and use them on web sites and blogs for free.... SY
