Would be nice to have some feedback here or directly from the app. What is missing for you? Which features are more important for you. This will shape our priorities

We will fix that. Pictures with less than 5 Mpix won't be accepted in the next release. Will that be fine for you?

Fotolia does not allow other apps to integrate in their ecosystem. Therefore pictures are uploaded via ftp and they are not considered as mobile submissions. You may find this as an advantage because instant collection is more picky.

Where does the app store our passwords? i hope they stay on my iphone?

This looks like something very useful.
Yes, to avoid security threats, credentials are stored in your device only

Unfortunately only iPhone for now. Probably android later this year. Would you finance the development and have services for free for the rest of your life?

That is good idea  ;)
I am submitting my phone images to Stockimo, using Iphone 5.
You should try pixendr app for instant upload to multiple agencies. I built it and working now to improve it. Feedback would be great.

Hello,

I think is time to have a dedicated section for the mobile stock photography. Discussions about workflow, smartphones good for stock, apps and so on. By the way, are you shooting mobile?

Thank you John. What do you mean by sanity?

Software / Re: Does anyone here design apps?

Hey Pierre, I am not thinking of submitting pro pictures with an app. Is a crazy workflow, with some exceptions, right.
I am thinking of full mobile workflow: shoot mobile, edit mobile, submit mobile. Yes, you might complain about the smartphone camera, no manual controls, poor quality and so on. But this is changing nowadays! Yuri Arcurs like pictures are now going down in demand while the market for candid, genuine, daily life pictures is rising. Is time for spontaneous shots, for shots integrated in our life. This is how marketers get to the heart of consumers. And here, smartphones will play a big role. It might be early for an app like Pixendr but the future might be more mobile that you may think. Maybe I am wrong, maybe I am not.
And speaking about how difficult this might be, have a look at Pixendr. Is an incredibly fast workflow, actually is the fastest compared to other apps. Have a look here and see how Pixendr can actually save your time. For free. http://www.pixendr.com/index.php/our-blog

Matt,
The categories seem to be the biggest time waste for me.  One level,ok.  Two levels if must, but three?  I spend way too much time trying to find something that fits.  And usually that is a poor fit anyway.

My suggestion would be to eliminate categories completely.
If you feel they are needed, then one level only.

Thanks for listening!

I agree! 3 levels is completely ridiculous.

I need some help. I want to start uploading more content for agencies as much as possible with as little effort as possible. I don't plan to use any paid services now, at least not in the first phase. What are your recommendations? Any suggestion is more than welcome: picture management, editing (Photoshop or Lightroom?), uploading tools and so on. Which step is more time consuming? Thank you.

I recently made a little research on categories for every agency and found some funny things:
1. There is no consistency from one agency to another. Trying to understand them is a nightmare!
2. Sometimes they have the same thing in 2 or 3 different places: "Miscellaneous" and "Other" for  Depositphotos, Bigstock has A category called "Miscellaneous" containing 2 subcategories, "Holidays" and... "Miscellaneous", in fact they love this word so much that they placed it in every category. I counted "Miscellaneous"28 times. Wouldn't it be easier to have a single category "Miscellaneous" and remove everything else?
3. Fotolia has some of the most unusual categories, especially in "Science": "Applied and Fundamental sciences", Esoteric (hmmm, interesting science) and... good luck with this one... "Outer space". So, wedding photographers, what are you waiting for? Let's go on the Moon for a photo shooting!
4. For Dreamstime "Sports" is part of "Industries"
5. Fotolia is so specific that they created a subcategory called "Eggs". I wonder how many eggs they have inside
6. For Bigstock "Insects" are part of "Nature" not "Animals", obviously because you can't find them in the Zoo, only in nature!
7. And Bigstock again with a tricky one. "Sexy" category contains "Men", "Women" and..."Miscellaneous" This might be for Transgender? Or Dildos? Hard to say...

Submission API access for 3rd party services like Pixendr app would be a great deal for me!

If you make pictures with an iPhone, you can submit to multiple agencies from a single app. Use Pixendr

Microstock Services / Yay, pixendr app released for iPhone!
« on: June 16, 2015, 11:47 »
Dear friends,

we are soooo happy to announce the release of Pixendr app. Pixendr is the only app that distributes pictures from your camera roll directly to your favorite stock agencies. In your account, of course. Add login credentials in your app (for security reasons, they are stored in your device only), select pictures you want to sell, add a title and description and some keywords. We know, keywords are essential for selling, that's why there is a keyword suggestion feature and it works nicely. That's all. Because agencies don't accept integration of 3rd parties, we have to submit via ftp. But we share a secret with you: we are already working to add more agencies where upload and submission will be done without extra effort. You hit upload and wait for money to come in.

Download the app from App store https://goo.gl/HIG6ls and tell us your opinion. The app is free and will stay free. Period! Your feedback and suggestions are highly appreciated.

We are almost done with Pixendr app, the first app that upload your pictures from your iPhone to multiple agencies at once. Currently we support upload to Shutterstock, Fotolia, Dreamstime, 123RF, Bigstock, Canstock, Pond5 and Depositphotos but we will quickly add more. The app will be free, uploads will be free (with some daily limits). Come on, give us some feedback. To enter beta group you need to install Testflight app first and send a message to [email protected] Beta testers will always get access to paid features for free!

Software - General / Re: Pixendr - the app to sell everywhere
« on: October 22, 2014, 04:56 »
It will be an app for iPhone/iPad. In the first release you will be able to submit pictures from device itself but we will quickly add the option to submit pictures from Dropbox & iCloud. The most painful step (adding keywords) will become a pleasure with keyword suggestion tool. Once you set-up your account at agencies, uploading to all of them will be a single tap on the screen. Unfortunately, agencies don't want to provide access to their internal submission process, therefore you will still have to login there to finish submission. Of course, this will be our priority to finalize process in app.

Software - General / Pixendr - the app to sell everywhere
« on: October 17, 2014, 06:00 »
Hey guys and girls,

We are a team of fresh developers building a new app for you. As you already notice, big agencies have already their own app but there is no app to submit the same picture to all major agencies simultaneously. That's why we are creating now Pixendr, an app that will allow you to select pictures from your device or iCloud, assign a title, description and keywords and submit it in your account to agencies where you are already selling. Our question is, what features would you like to have in the app? What do you need to sell pictures directly? Any ideas, crazy or not, just throw them here!
