Dreamstime.com / Re: Do you believe that DT is dying?
« on: March 10, 2015, 05:24 »
Perhaps primitively, I've traditionally viewed SS, IS and DT as the three main players. So it came as some surprise to me that Adobe chose to buy FT for a truly staggering amount of money.

I think DT was not exploitive enough for Adobe to buy. Getty had already huge problems with the over 20% percentage for exclusives and tried everything to bring this down. FT was their choice because it was the most aggressive, contributor-unfriendly and unfair agency if you think Adobe is the artists friend than dream on................

iStockPhoto.com / Re: How Are Your iStock Sales?
« on: February 26, 2015, 02:51 »
Is this about collecting information from us so that you can try to sell it back to us?
Odd statement nobody forces you to buy anything you expect to get paid for your work, why should journalistic work not get paid? If you wanna write an article you do research and ask questions that is the most normal process.

They take 80% and they still manage to get in financial troubles what do you learn on these business schools?

Alamy.com / Re: Alamy - is it worth the time and trouble?
« on: February 25, 2015, 05:28 »
I would say it's worth it. It's a long term investment as their search is not (that) biased to newer stuff, I still do sell stuff there that I have uploaded more than 10 years ago. No big money but at least a picture once in the database is still visible to buyers after a decade! I just wouldn't waste my time to upload typical microstock-pictures there.

as a long as people sell the same pictures for much lower prices on other sites (DPC comes in mind) there will be no raise!

I trust her to be objective but even you don't her opinion would be still very valueable. I don't expect her to talk bad about any of them but every agency has its strengths and weaknesses to analyze this can only help.

As you now know both sites from the inside how would you compare them?

Thanks, if you promise to continue developing your program I will buy full version right now!

I really like your program and I think you are on the right track with it, as soon if it supports XMP I will buy it (if the price remains the same). As always there is a lot room for improvement but that is normal especially at the beginning. But it is a new approach for keywording that I really like! The files I had trouble with it are files which troubled me with other programs too so it is not the fault of your program but speed needs to be improved a little bit.

261
I like the design and the workflow of your program keep up the good work!

262
I like your program but it seems that it doesn't support XMP would it possible that it supports also IPTC4XMP and not just the classic IPTCIIM standard? You should also use the standard Adobe XMP-marker for your star-rating and your labelling most other programs using now the Adobe XMP-tags so ratings and labels are interchangeable between different programs.

263
It's seems that the files it can't read it are all from a certain camera.

264
Looks very promising but your program can't import a lot of jpeg-files from my folder :'( .I do IPTC-editing from the moment I import my files from my card and use quite a lot of programs in my workflow to edit IPTC/XMP-data. It seems to me that your program can't handle this because aside from edited IPTC/XMP-date they are just normal jpeg-files.
