If its rights managed, the agency should be responsible for collecting payment. Thats what they get paid for.

Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock Forum Deactivation« on: July 24, 2020, 21:47 »I just did the deactivate Javascript and was able to post in the SS forum. Let's see if it stays there or gets deleted. I wonder what would happen if I posted the javascript by pass on the SS forum. I saw a post about it earlier today on the SS forum. Wonder if they deleted it. 😂 edit: no, still there. In fact, a thread has been posted asking SS to fix the problem. 😀 253
Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock Forum Deactivation« on: July 24, 2020, 13:33 »Apparently disabling Java Script then allows posting. Yes, I was able to post from my ipad by going to Settings>safari and turning off javascript. It worked! I just turned it back on when I was done. Thanks for that tip! Looks like people have started posting the secret there, too. SS will be busy fixing that, Im sure. 254

Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock Forum Deactivation« on: July 24, 2020, 10:12 »Im magical. I checked this morning. I am not banned. When I try to reply, it wont let me type in the reply box. Its filled with gray. PS I am not magical. 256
Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock Forum Deactivation« on: July 24, 2020, 08:41 »Im magical. Nice going, you broke through! Wonder if they will ban you now. 😀 257
Shutterstock.com / Re: Looks like Ive been banned from the SS forums« on: July 24, 2020, 08:22 »Just heard back from 'support'. Apparently if I use my web browser rather than my mobile I will be able to post on the forum and pigs may fly. I will give up now or I may have to contact the Samaritans. Yes, I just tried to post in the forum and I was not able to. The reply box is there, but you cant click in it because of that gray fill. Safari browser on ipad. 258

You cant delete posts, so if you change your mind about saying something, all you can do is put a character in the box. Thats what the period means. Your images will disappear from Google in time. 260
Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock Forum Deactivation« on: July 24, 2020, 08:10 »
The forum link in the dashboard is still visible and active. I can read all the posts. But I cant reply to anything. As mentioned, the reply box is there, but you cant type in it. Frankly, Im not surprised, but its not going to deter people. We will find a way to keep getting the message out.

Actually, I think the API for images has been that way for a long time. I deleted all my bestsellers when I found out that was happening, and that was quite a while ago. Theres probably a post about it here somewhere.
edit: heres a post from 2017, post #5 talks about it. https://www.microstockgroup.com/shutterstock-com/ss's-cio-has-left-after-one-year/msg495165/#msg495165 262
Shutterstock.com / Re: Brain storming : What else we can do to be heard« on: July 23, 2020, 17:13 »Thank you Cathyslife. You are welcome. I went to the forum. I was able to read threads, but it looks like you have to create a second account to post? I wasnt willing to do that. Did you always have to, or is that new, to weed out the riffraff (us) 😂? I havent been there in ages. 264
Shutterstock.com / Re: Shutterstock forum suspended?« on: July 23, 2020, 08:04 »Does anyone know what has happened to the Shutterstock forum? I can't post on it and I don't think anyone else can (just one fluke post yesterday on the Hummer Thread that got through but that's all in over 24 hours). It looks deliberate to me rather than a fault. New threads can't be started either. The only thing that you can do if you manage to log in is to up/down vote comments already there. Has Shutterstock suspended it due to negative comments? see this thread https://www.microstockgroup.com/shutterstock-com/looks-like-ive-been-banned-from-the-ss-forms/msg555117/#msg555117 266
Shutterstock.com / Re: We are having some impact« on: July 23, 2020, 06:36 ».Is it just me or has the SS forum disabled 'quotes'? OK got it. I saw another thread, too, where it might be possible they disabled the SS forum altogether. Sorry I misunderstood 267
Shutterstock.com / Re: Deleting images on Shutterstock« on: July 23, 2020, 06:34 »Hi, I think your images will show in searches for awhile, but if you click and follow them to SS, and try to purchase them, it will say they are no longer available or contact support, or something like that. Also remember that the contributor agreement allows them to sell your images for a certain period of time even after you have deleted or disabled. 268

Adobe Stock / Re: Aldobe stock earnings. Woohoo!!!!« on: July 22, 2020, 19:24 »How self-centered do you have to be to really think a WORLDWIDE pandemic or the news-coverage of it has anything to do with your lousy US election ? Good grief take a pill. All that worrying and stress over a virus that most recover from is going to give you a heart attack. 272
Shutterstock.com / Re: We are having some impact« on: July 21, 2020, 19:08 »Ive seen a couple more tweets the last couple of days of SS buyers not being able to buy an image they need, and SS contacting the contributor to re-upload it/turn it on. Yes! Its working! 👍How much would SS pay for re-uploaded images? Ten cents, Im sure! One person sent a message back to SS support, with a link to the other sites he offers it on. 😂 If the buyers would have contacted him directly, he of course would have sold it to them. 273
