OK. I got my article up. Nothing earth shattering, but hopefully it will bring in some traffic for everybody:

http://www.illustrationinfo.com/2012/12/29/buy-stock-art-images-directly-from-the-artist/

I did eliminate a couple of the entries that people listed. I was trying to keep it geared more towards personal one or two artist run sites.

Hi, I'm (very) new here, and I think that exchanging links is a very good idea.  Based on the little I know about SEO it seems that if we add these links in specific ways we can maximize the value of the exchanged links; for example, we should avoid any risk the googlebot interpret them as a link farm.  Is there anyone here who can provide guidance on a strategy so that we all benefit as much as possible?

Regards - and apologies if this (my first) post seems too bold....

This article contains links to our direct-to-consumer websites. I will be promoting the heck out of this article. I hope it benefits all of us in the long run, and sheds a light on how agencies exploit their artists.

Excellent article and thanks for the link Dan, I did put your article link under my article list of links . In addition, later on, I will put up another page with links to direct-to-consumer websites including yours.

From your article, the boxer from Diego just inspired me to put up one of mine. This has really become a situation to fight back.

I might as well post this, although it might not fit in with the other sites on the list. It's just After Effects Templates now and the site is in its infancy. After I get my other templates up there, I'd like to put my stock footage collection on there, and possibly my photos/vectors later down the road. Good for you for doing this article!
