Dreamstime beat SS for me today, that's how bad things have gotten today lol
Back to normal tomorrow, I hope.

Dreamstime beat SS for me too. Even Canstock did better than SS and I've never said that before. By far the worst start to a month in 7 years. I made payout in the same time last year, depressing.
-
Bigstock actually beat Shutterstock yesterday and Alamy are three times ahead of Shutterstock now :)

Yesterday was very slow. I reported it as they had said they were experiencing problems with DLs the previous day but had now fixed it. I questioned whether they had actually fixed it as everything stopped after the 1st hour.
Today, seems to have started off as I'd expect and it after the 1st hour or so it is already past yesterdays total. Hopefully that means any problems there had been are...now resolved!

I'm having the best December ever, thanks to some nice extended image and video sales. And we're only 7 days in.

I have good sales too.
If you have bad sales it does not mean that Shutterstock does not sell
It means that the customers don't buy your images and buy somebody else ones…
… mine for example 8)

Not suggesting that at all. Over $30 for the 1st hour this morning and sales still coming in strong. It was just yesterday. If I get 60+ sales a day (vid and pics) and it stops at 5 then I have a fairly good idea something is wrong. Especially as it was just one day like that and either side of it was perfectly normal.

I was simply reporting technical difficulties on Shutterstock's end yesterday. Customers couldn't download images for several hours. They posted updates on Facebook.

Not customers, but some customers.
As you should know 3 persons having problems make more noise on forums and social media than 1 billion persons not having any problems.

Not ALL customers, but customers.
Enough customers for SS to mention it on social media and update their progress several times. If it was "3 persons" they could have helped them directly.
Not sure what point you're trying to make when I was simply stating technical problems they were having (again). It helps people like me, who saw a 30% drop in sales from Tuesday, to know that there were problems with downloading. It's also sad to know this "technology" company still can't get their technology right.
(Although if those buyers left SS and headed for Adobe it would be better for me, because I have a higher RPD there.)

Sudden surge in sales for me which I'm thankful for. Previously, sales were non existant for a long time.

Continues to be the worst month in 7 years, all 14 agencies I'm in have sold more than SS! Also, 26 days since an OD, another record smashed.
