A w filmie polskim, proszę pana, to jest tak: nuda... Nic się nie dzieje, proszę pana. Nic. Taka, proszę pana... Dialogi niedobre... Bardzo niedobre dialogi są.

Ran into the same problem a couple of months ago over an image involving food coloring in water.  Colored water was deemed unacceptable.  ::)

Yes, I thought that was amusing too (when I tried to use it for Easter eggs). Probably due to the fact that colored can refer to people with skin that isn't colored pink.
We get it ... -snip- ... we are lazy, incompetent, greedy or uncaring. Rebecca Rockafellar for Istock HQ

Oh NO You Didn't!!!

I have seen this on other sites as well.   But there are lots of images using that keyword on SS.  I use the Acurs keyword tool and they use the popular images keywords from SS..... and it shows up there a lot.

I think making this word a no no is ridiculous.  But like others have posted there are alternatives.

I'd reject it, too. It should be "coloured".  ;D

I can't believe this type of issue is still happening.  Some years ago I was hearing people from ethnic minorities complaining that this kind of thing was patronising and petty and that it came about because of white middle-class people on councils and in acadaemia making wild assumptions.  (I don't know about the States though - it may be different there).

Words themselves are not harmful to anyone - it's where the intention behind the words is hatred and vitriol that we should be concerned.   I don't know why that vital piece of interpretation - so critical to all human relations and our understanding of each other (regardless of race) - was suddenly thrown out of the window.

Happened to me too. Simply pathetic!!!!!

Soon we will not be able to even look at someone because it may be considered racist, offensive, judgmental etc. We better go blind and mute, so we don't damage certain fragile "flowers"...

now even coloured isn't accepted anymore - I knew we shouldn't have complained >:(

Just got the same - and I agree. Some keywords should be banned. I'd suggest to add to the list: white, black, yellow, red, tall and short. Did I miss some?

Fat, thin, old, young, female, the list goes on...

bird, chick, bitch, crumpet, cow, bint, bag, slag and tart probably ought to be banned, too, as they are offensive to women
