I didn't leave it out conveniently.  I didn't think it applied.  The blog sounds like it's just aimed at the average everyday buyer, and this will be a feature available to everyone.  Not a special custom "multi-user" deal.

I don't really care, I just thought it was interesting.

I think Ron is saying that Shutterstock's terms already allow users to share images like in the dropbox scheme, so it's not a violation as long as the dropbox deal is called a customized product.

I don't think so.  If the dropbox thing is available to everyone, then the terms in the license no longer apply.

"You may not ... Make images available on a digital asset management system, shared drive or the like for the purposes of sharing or transferring such images

Unless I am reading it wrong, nothing in the original post seems to suggest that they are encouraging sharing - as in other people actually using the images.

As much as I am nervous of Shutterstock, I don't see that they are promoting anything other than collaboration - as in "have a look at this and see whether you think it would work".

Also - given that individuals at agencies clearly already save images to their networked storage (in 2013 everything is the network), I cannot see anything here which is especially unusual.

However, the reality of subscription, as I am certain many customers would privately admit (and perhaps the real story here) is that natural persons already share the files with others within their companies and offices. Subscription already encourages that.

Thanks, I did look into it. Just waiting for others to say something about it. I dont think its as bad as it looks, considering they offer multi seat deals.

Do you get paid more for the 'team subscriptions' which looks to be one of those multi seat deals.
