I got a full batch of editorial images refused with the following reason "Please identify Team/Drive".

Images came from 2 different events:

A)- Kart race between National Auto Club members ( Some pilots participate regularly on Portuguese national, open and classic rally's ). Karts were rented for the race ( nothing professional
B)- 4x4 "adventure" with a off-road club members.

After a look on some editorial images at SS, over same subject,  I notice that no one have such identification....

Should I batch it with justification ( with a sample  over already accepted files on database ) or the main reason for refusal was the fact of being "non-official" race?

They now have very specific requirements for editorial captions; I noticed the same for stamps, for which now they require "COUNTRY - CIRCA YYYY: A stamp printed by ... shows ... circa YYYY." and not just a generic editorial caption such as "COUNTRY - CIRCA YYYY: Stamp circa YYYY" which was acceptable until a few months ago. The same is true for fashion shows, they now require the name of designer and/or brand besides the time and place.

So I am afraid it's useless to resubmit with justification and you should adhere to their strict rules and be as specific as you can - it's annoying at times but it's the way it is.

How did you describe the events?

SS has a strict way for an editorial description and if it isn't right it will be rejected .

So if you could include the description you wrote it would help.

Thanks to both replies.

I need to pay more attention for each agency rules changes. I rarely resubmit and don't know if justifies for these batch's.

I start working with "private" agency, that cover some sports events. Some of them are non official. Perhaps I should only submit the images where i can fill teams and pilots information ( official events with federation authorization, etc )

@Gunter Nezhoda

I got the point about caption, and probably main reason for rejection was around "content" ( LCV ) than a caption problem ( even with new changes ). Who will "buy" a editorial picture of a non-official race, without official cars and/or teams.. :D

I can easily access to pilots names, but worth it? Probably not.

I will do about 2 events , 3 or 4 times each month. Some events are official and I have the full list of teams and pilots. Will try with "better content" and with news captions changes.

Thanks Guys!

With an extra help on SS forum, finally I understood what went wrong with caption.
