Hello,
Shutterstock pays 30% commission of 79$ for each 1080p video sold, which is about 23,70$.
Well, the last time i've done 23,70$ was in the 16th November 2015. I've sold 32 videos since then and they all showed up with different numbers like; 19,30$ / 19,32 / 19,36 / 17,21 / 16,25, etc.....
32 videos in 2 months and none of them reached 23,70$?? I feel that they are lowering the commission .... :(
Could anyone tell me how Shutterstock calculates the contributors commission per 1080p video sold?
Thanks in advance

It should be some kind of a discount for a bigger quantity of videos purchased. As a buyer I would expect it, as a supplier I will do it... just happened to be a contributor :)

See that fine print saying:
"†Percentage is based on sale price received. Amount earned may be more if sale price received is more"
It is sometimes more, but sometimes is also less, as explained by Cylonphoto.

Thanks for that.
I just think it is strange that I rarely reach 23,70$ or more. And like I said before, 32 sales in a row (2 months) making less than 30% commission hurts a lot in the pocket. :(
Cheers

Thanks for sharing.
96$ is a great commission for one sale, but what about the ones below 23,70$, how many have you had?

For those who are interested.... this is what i got.
"Thank you for your email.
It seems like the lower payment is due to the fact that your clip is downloaded by non-US source. When the clip is downloaded from a non-US source, the sales conversion to US dollar may cause a lower payment due to the the exchange rate from the origin of sale.
We have attached a screenshot of your payment history that shows that the download from your past month was mainly non-US source.
