Me too. Is it possible that the higher volume of new images every day, is slowing down index build plus other processing for new images thereby taking it longer for new images to actually appear in searches ? I say this because, if you go to 'Portfolio > Approval Status: Images' and click on the approved image IDs, it takes you to the Image details page for the new image. It just seems to take more time for them to appear under the personal portfolio and in searches.

No, my images always showed up in a few hours. Its longer than normal now. But I am sure they will show up eventually.

Seems to be a weird month! A lot of sites are having issues plus sales have truly sucked!  :-\

Happening again, is it only me?
I kind of have a feeling that SS do it intentionally, once every week may be, to give all the images enough exposure before get sunk.

I had some stuff approved on 21st - it's still nowhere to be seen. Also, the reviewer missed one of the images and it's still sitting in the queue to be reviewed. Something doesn't feel quite right...

This week for me:
- Raster illustration showed up within a couple of hours of approval
- Photos yet to show up though they were approved more than 36 hours ago
- Vector illustration yet to show up and it is about 12 hours since approval

If I may offer a guess, the volume of images and the servers and/or directories required to house them cause delays when even more new data is added. It's common on Dreamstime and their answer is that their servers index the content each night. It's been complained about on istock too. The standard reply is (on DT) "For newly approved images, it may take up to a week to be properly indexed and appear in searches." In general, on any server "searching is available after the initial building of the index, which can take up to hours or days, depending on the size of the specified directories, the speed of the hard drive, user activity, indexer settings and other factors." I fear this is the future of all of these sites. Too much data and more added every day.

But SS was never this slow. Well sometimes, but it will always pick up again. They have been adding 400k images a week for a while now. Last week my images were indexed within a few hours. So its not the amount of data, I am sure of that.

It's not (mainly) the number of newly accepted images that makes index building a heavy task, but even more so the amount of existing images (=existing entries in the database).
It's the kind of problem that steadily grows with the growing collection...

While I have no idea what's really the issue, the effort (and computation time needed) to maintain an ever-growing library must be a huge challenge.

It doesnt go from fast to slow in the span of a week. And the computing power is there, they wont be operating on the limits of their capacity. If they are, they are not a technology company.

When one server fills up an additional one must be added. The location of the (possible) new server is a factor.  Lag can be a result of being geographically far from the server host. What I'm trying to point out is that there are many tech factors behind the scenes that contribute to how fast new files can be indexed, added to the directory from which views are pulled and become visible.

This is getting ridiculous.

I uploaded some images to appear monday at the beggining of the week...
And now the week is gone and they're still not online.

I bet they'll show up already buried on saturday morning  :(

Yep, approvals from a few days ago still not showing up. I wish that would give my Sym site a head start, but it doesn't seem to work that way. ;)

I don't see how it could be a server problem, since we're all from different parts of the globe.
