I have my largest number of sales for a single image in one month on SS this month (9 sales so far). Might not be great in some of the Big Shots on MSG books, but great for me.
Was just wondering, some sites has a last or latest images sold display area, which can prompt a first sale to be followed by a number more. Does SS have any filter or display like that, or is the image perhaps just unique enough (or its description) to attract more that usual attention.

I have one image that's just gone nuts on SS, it's selling almost every day. Ironically I find this to be a drag. I'd rather think that all my photos sell based on their merits, and it isn't a matter of luck, where a few early sales plus popularity-based search rules cause a photo to take off and keep going. But it is what it is, and I do think it's a good photo.

My top-selling image at SS has sold 146 times so far. My number two image has sold 50 times. I'll take it! :)

No complaints here ;D, just find the dynamics quite interesting. The image has been on the site for 3 months, first month, sold 1x, second 2x, now third 10x so far (3x in one day). That is why I start wondering where and how an image's rating or times sold has an influence on its visibility to buyers.

The sales are hugely influenced by how often buyers see it, and that is influenced by sales. Sometimes an image will go on for ages, and sometimes it will disappear after a while. My best seller has sold 449 times, with my number two at 159. By far the majority of my photos has sold less than 10 times.

I've just noticed that all my daily sales were OD exclusively... not even one sub. Haven't none "repeated", but mostly "series" ( Editorial ).
Thought was another matter under discussion.
Anyway, only 2 or 3 files with an monthly average of 8~10 downloads ( just in SS , because on overall that files goes to 15~20 downloads one of them start lowering average After submitting a similar ( 5 per month min. ) .

But where do they see latest sales?

To think I bought my first camera (SLR) in 1980. If there was only internet then, with your stats I would have given Bill Gates a run for his money by now... ;D

In the last couple of years, about 1 in 50 of my new images at SS "catches fire" and starts selling more than once per week. It seems like these files then go on to sell regularly for several months with most of them decaying away to almost nothing after about a year. About one in ten of the catch fire images keep steady or accelerate. All of those seem to be images that have niches more or less to themselves and climb to the top of the search very early.
It's funny that often one image from a series will catch fire and none of the rest will sell at all. Often the one that catches fire isn't the one I think of as the strongest image. Then again, sometimes it is.
