What does that mean in English?

It's probably only a matter of time before SS puts an end to that as well.

Ethics and morals aside, no business would accept heavy criticism or promotion for competitors on their own platform. Either they put more effort (and thus money) in moderating the place, or shut it down. They chose the latter, without any communication or explanation, and it says a lot how they treat the hands that feed them.

As I see it, based on their behavior of the last past months, they want to demotivate and eventually get rid of amateur and hobbyist contributors as they are too much hassle.

And maybe that's where the microstock industry is heading to, the next coming years.
Smaller and community based agencies with independent contributors providing quirky content for a niche market versus big corporations fed by professional studio's producing generic content for the masses.

I agree with your first paragraph, but when it comes to de-motivation effort, it seems that they want to demotivate experienced submitters and recruit more low-volume contributors, which would lower further their commission expenses.

Yes, I was able to post from my ipad by going to Settings>safari and turning off javascript. It worked! I just turned it back on when I was done. Thanks for that tip! Looks like people have started posting the secret there, too. SS will be busy fixing that, Im sure.

I disabled Java for Firefox and Chrome on my android phone and Firefox on my PC but it stops me from logging in with the message 'security code required' so I can't check the box to say I'm not a robot. So although I see one or two people have been able to post this may not help everyone. It's nice to feel welcome  :D Au Revoir SF.

Thank you. Tried that too but it didn't work. I get the security code message but no box to click in.

New posts are appearing. But it doesn't work for me so it must be those who found a workaround.

I tried posting and am greyed out also. Guess they didn't like my post about turning my portfolio off. Guess we'll have to post here instead.

I turned off my portfolio on SS in early June after viewing a few days of the dismal results.
Since then it seems my Adobe sales have increased a little bit but things at Alamy are different.
I haven't had any sales on Alamy since early September. In July I've had 4 sales for a net profit of $131.
That's a little bit better than  .10 each. Not sure if one has to do with the other but just maybe.

I just did the deactivate Javascript and was able to post in the SS forum. Let's see if it stays there or gets deleted. I wonder what would happen if I posted the javascript by pass on the SS forum.  ;D

I saw a post about it earlier today on the SS forum. Wonder if they deleted it. 😂 edit: no, still there. In fact, a thread has been posted asking SS to fix the problem. 😀

In case anyone has tried and failed to do this, it only works I think if you are already logged into the SS forum.  I can't do that on my Android phone but I managed to log in, disable Java, refresh and post via Chrome on my PC.

This last move by SS (whether a deliberate move or a fault they are deliberately ignoring) really does illustrate the contempt they display towards their contributors.  They shouldn't bite the hand that feeds them.

Remember this is a company that doesnt even fix major customer facing faults or legal complaints on weekends at all.  They seem to only work office hours, monday to friday regardless of what's broken or on fire.

So if this is a bug, dont expect it fixed until after 9am Monday new york time at the earliest.

The more cynical side of me thinks this suits them - nobody moderates on weekends so they cant delete and remove negative comments so it benefits them to have no weekend posting.

I agree and actually I think it's been about a week now since the forum was defunct.

slightly OT --
first known use of that 'feature' was the Stonehenge BBS we developed in 1983 & called the twit filter- many systems had an individual ignore flag, but that failed when someone quoted the twit
