I have the same problem since yesterday. Firezilla says on some uploades images there was a problem after 1 second. The upload to all other agencies are fine.

Same problem. There is a forum thread about it on SS, so I assume it is happening to a lot of people.

Its been broken all weekend.  I guess nobody will even bother looking at it until 9am Monday their time (if at all going by the other stuff they let rot).

FTP for me is the only method of uploading.  The web interface times out constantly mid transfer due to slow internet and i have to schedule uploads 0000 - 0600 local time due to internet bandwidth quota and restrictions.

With no FTP i simply cant submit anything at all.

"As has been commented in several post, we are experiencing some issues with our FTP servers causing some delays in processing uploads. We found the root problem and have put a fix a place that will eliminate any delays over the coming hours. "

We have a winner, gnirtS guessed it right.  ;D

But that's processing not the 550 error problem and I get it with ws-ftp, so it's not just filezilla

Seems like files are lost randomly. I am sending same set of files to multiple agencies but SS is the only one that looses files.

Yeah, they said it was fixed, but still broken.

It's not fixed. Mutlimillion dollar company and they don't know what their ftp and uploads are doing. Then they write it's fixed when it's not? Not good.

Maybe hire some more IT Kids that have no clue and then Maybe Play with the search again while there at it. I swear one dept has no clue what another dept is doing there. Now the new submit guidelines. What, they got nothing Better to do. 200 Kids Bumping into each other seems like to me.The software at SS is 12 years old. Pretty soon ya run out of band aids.

It's not the first time their infrastructure has been shown to be incredible fragile and fall over at the slightest point.

5 DAYS now and a fairly vital part of their business isn't working and they dont seem overly concerned.  Today FTP is still badly broken and even the web based upload and approval system is failing.

Would appear they arent bothered about getting new media at all.

Just realized that nothing I have submitted in last 3 days is showing up as waiting for review, approved or rejected. I won't be uploading any more images there until this mess is fixed and confirmed by a credible source. No excuse for wasting our time. No excuse for saying it's fixed when it is something that could easily be tested first.

I have been using FTP when problems happen.  Two days ago files were delayed and randomly missed. Today most of the batch appears but still delayed.

They can survive without single new photo for years so there is no hurry to throw resources on contributor side of their site :-)

They no longer pretend to care about the welfare of their contributors.

This problem has been cropping up, off and on for at least 4 years.

Considering many of the agencies have these problems at one time or another, it must be a little complicated to keep the giant machine running. Not that that is an excuse for it being broken, but it is something that is going to happen from time to time.

Yep. No big deal. Just go shoot. Happens quite often.

I checked my new batch that was approved in the morning, but didn't receive any email (never happened before) and images don't appear online (it's been almost a full day). Something is messed up over there. Uploaded via browser.
