Hi all,
Does anyone know when the next contributor fund payment will be happening? It must be due soon?
Thanks
Chris
Last contributor fund payout on Shutterstock was in November 2025 so it's been 6 months. Think payment would be imminent at this stage assuming they are still paying for generative AI usage.
Adobe didn't pay A.I. contributions either for quite a while now, same with P5.
I guess the demand for images and footage for A.I. training just isn't that imminent anymore. Most models are trained, and while there is still plenty of room for improvement, generic stock images and footage is might not the right source material to facilitate that. But who am I, I have little technical knowledge regarding how A.I. training works.
I do see Adobe and others reaching out to contributors to upload very specific image sets to train A.I. I didn't sign up for that because it's not what I want to do, and the payout isn't worth it. But I guess that's where the money is in regards to A.I. training.

Yeh I never participate in those 'missions' and i completed a survey indicating the pay was far too low (a response option).
