Ok, I'm not sure this is going to work, but I think it is worth a try.

So anyhow, I am thinking it would be cool for people to have a flattr link in their posts.  If you like something someone writes, instead of clicking the heart (which I will plan to take away if this works) you can click the flattr button.  The flattr button will be unique for each post.

If you are using flattr now you can go to your forum profile settings and enter your ID there and the link should be added automatically.

haha, yep.  Well you won't be forced into it   I agree there is an endless supply of social networks but there has never been a way for someone to easily say thanks to a blog post or something.  Something like this could be really great for the Internet and support the people blogging 'for free'.  I thought flattr was a pretty novel idea, which is why i wanted to add it in here somehow.
