Sounds interesting, but it is beta and only for Mac...

I've played with it a little. You can open a layered PSD file in it and all of the layers are there. Pretty impressive. It performs most of the key functions of Photoshop. The problem for me, is I've spent the last ten years learning Photoshop, and there isn't room in my brain to relearn the idiosyncrasies of a similar program.

Yes it is only for Mac, my problem is, that I'm familiar to Aperture and all those storage and export features, but unfortunately Apple no more supports Aperture, so I'm looking something similar to Aperture. Tested Photoshop and Lightroom, they are not a same. I mean they are good, but too different.

Hi there, did anyone already tested Affinity? Is it similar to Aperture?

No, it is similar to Photoshop.
I have used it a little.
It has a lot of similar function similar to those of Photoshop.
It is a young software (still beta), but I think that very fast, if it gets enough support from the users, it could become a good alternative to Photoshop.

For vectors you have Affinity Designer, a new alternative to Illustrator.

Some competition to Adobe is valid for all of us, no?
