In which size should vectors be for Fotolia and Shutterstock? When you create a new document, how do you set your vector's initial width and height? Thanks.

A true vector has no "size" unless I'm missing your meaning. Vectors are pixel independent. A vector image can be sized and scaled repeatedly and limitlessly without losing resolution. Vector images are not made of pixels but of outlines whose shapes are described mathematically.
