I applied on StockXpert last Wednesday and was already wondering whether I will ever receive a mail with either "congratulations" or "sorry" ... So I just checked my account today and realized that my application was already accepted by last Thursday.

Allright, the day was still young, I had some spare time and so I sent my daily maximum of files via FTP. And then the unbelievable happened - all these pictures were approved even before I had a chance to fill the descriptions, keywords etc. :)

Is this normal at StockXpert?

sseems to me you got a reviewer who was in a good mood...All my picteres were rejected for really really funny reasons. "boat is too small" when the picture was a corporate building...wonderful system over there... i asked them to delete my account

They are fast and they still spot errors with photos that some sites miss.

Lathspell,

I'm glad your experience at StockXpert has been a pleasant one so far. We've recently made some changes to the application review process. Applications are now being reviewed by a Jupiterimages Sr. Content Editor, who tries to review them within the same day that he receives them.

Thanks!
-Steve

Yes, actually I like what I've seen so far. I got a little confused about the briefcase thing and the need for moving pictures between folders, but that's nothing to concern - once you get an idea what to do all works pretty well.

I'm furthermore surprised by the quality of the site translations into German, they are far above standard (though I found some minor  mistakes - please don't mind me, my grandpa was a teacher for German language, so it's probably the genes ... :)). And the help system is also outstanding ...

So currently there is just one thing you could do for me: please sell some of my pictures ... :D

Thank you,
lathspell aka Jrg

lathspell,

Understood. In the end, it all comes down to sales. :)

Also, make sure you use the news and promo feature at http://www.stockxpert.com/browse.phtml

You can post a little note about your gallery or an image and link to them.

Sorry for digging out my old thread, but: Steve, you were right, and within 26 days I made it to the first payout. That's cool. :)

I was informed by one of the reviweres that keywords (but not categories) are in fact required before reviewing. The same as everywhere else.

Nah, you don't have to keyword/categorise the images before review..

In fact, I FTP mine up, transfer them from the briefcase, and then wait for them to be approved/rejected before I keyword em...  Makes for a much more effitiant workflow than any of the other micros...

It's nice to see some of you are having good results with StockXpert. I started out well but I'm now getting way too many of the "We're not accepting these types of images now" on some of my best images so it's no longer worth the time to upload. It also begs the questions..does this mean they will be accepted in the future and if so when? Why are these types of images not accepted this week when they were last week?

These are not images that need critiques as they are on all my sites and I'm a decent nature photographer..no beginner.

Maybe they can send out email when they decide they will again 'accept these types of images'. My time is valuable as I'm sure is the reviewers so I want be wasting either for awhile.

I did post on the browse page a bit ago in hopes it will get me some views and sales. This is my first time trying this feature and I hope it helps espcially with none of my recent newest uploads being accepted.

For any interested they can be found on iStock, DT and SS just to mention a few. ;)
