Yes StockXpert are still among the fastest to review with a sensible upload limit but I am having serrous doubts about their reviewing system.

If they didn't have such a easy upload system if I was short on upload time I would consider dropping them, so now I only categorize once they have reviewed them.

A lot "thanks not looking...."
The strangest thing was they accepted 7 out of 8 photos of the natural History museum in London

Still waiting for the other sites so far only BS 17/25.

I had a similar experience at Dreamtime (accepted everywhere else).

I think that is one of the more annoying rejections as if they say it is technically wrong, i can improve but for the small sites to say they have enough just annoys me.

So far, knock on wood, I have a 99% acceptance rate from them. Only one rejection I don't agree with. That was for the image being "too dark". I don't agree because the image is supposed to be dark but I can see that it wouldn't be a great seller anyway because buyers seem to be looking for bright/happy images.

I'm quite satisfied personally. And when I get rejections, it's usually reflected somehow at iStock and Shutterstock.

In general I have a good acceptance ratio withthem. Some "poor lighting" and "not looking for this kind of image". Illustrations are the harder to approve, and comparing the approved ones to the rejected, I get no clue about what they are looking for.

Just had the word from SS OK they accepted 90/123

and 90 new images at SS is going to generate a lot more money than at StockXpert, curious what the other sites think of the latest batches. Glad to see FT and BS have speeded up, alas for CanStockPhoto

Latest batch 9/49 (though they accepted one I had forgotten to rotate - its hard to tell quite abstract)

I had an entire batch of 10 rejected for too dark. Different images, views. lighting. Don't know if reviewer was having a bad day, bad monitor, or I suddenly began under exposing and did poor post processing. Between 6 and 10 of these were accepted on other sites.

As far as Dreamstime goes, getting a lot of strange rejections. My favorite, 3 views of same building sent in 3 different batches. 1st one rejected because we have too many of these (fairly unusual building), 2nd and 3rd accepted. Another building rejected as 'we have too many of these' It was a very unique building in Stuttgart, Germany.

Funny you should mention this as I just had a rejection today for too many similar images. I did a few searches and they in fact had only one which I thought was particularly odd. I'm assuming though in my case and in yours they are thinking in much much broader terms. Too many buildings in general rather than too many of that building.

Regarding similar images at Dreamstime you can always send them an e-mail and resubmit if you feel strongly.

I don't usually bother it was a vector illustration of the John Hancock tower of Chicago it was accepted and but hasn't sold yet

I took part in a forum discussion about "cloud" images at DT, because they also fall in the "we have too many of these" reason. There are many "cloud" images that are just clouds, but if someone looks for a specific type cloud may not find many options of just clouds . I tried that with my cirrus and cirrostratus images, most of what you get are images with clouds, not of clouds, and some are not even cirrus or cirrostratus.

I emailed them about this. Although they are generally fast and helpful when I question a rejection, I never got a reply nor a reverse in the rejection. Maybe because I brought this to the forum, though I wasn't the one starting the thread.
