Cool.  I think they got it right ... finally. :P

guys wait... last month we had sales the day after too  ;D

WarrenPrice

Holding steady.  I think they have it.   :P

My TS is constant at $20 a month.  Doesn't matter that I had 1500, then 2000 and now 3000 images, still 20 bucks.  Just doesn't see legit to me.

Yes, I actually forgot about that exclusive "Hemera" collection, so exclusive that 3000 images gets me 23 bucks a month.  Thanks for reminding me and making me open a beer. ;)

Listen guys!   this is like reading a horror story, 2-3000 shots and just over 20 bucks????  why do you all upload?

We Don't.  This is what is left from StockXpert.

You still have the option of closing your stockxpert account don't you?  That's what I did.  Thinkstock just doesn't seem worth the aggravation, especially when they might be getting buyers that could go to a decent subs site, like SS.

I think that is still an option. Should be.  I wonder, however, if it is more of an emotional consideration than a practical option?  My 300 images on Thinkstock provide more revenue than my 750 images at Big Stock.  My last seven sales at iStock were for less than 20 cents each.  My current RPD at Dreamstime is 54 cents.  Fotolia is a waste with even less return than Big Stock.  Shutter Stock is rejecting more than 50 percent of my submissions.  Microstock, in general, doesn't offer a lot to get excited about.

I don't think there is an option for increasing the size of my portfolio; maybe iStock adds images but not to the Hemera Collection.  I'll reach a payout at Thinkstock next month.  Think I will wait until then to reassess my options.

Maybe doing nothing is the best option?   ???

this all get out talk is very nice and such but the true is that there tons of top contibutors both on hemera and pp and istock etc.. I believe the top ones should quit all agencies and then "we" smaller will get out too and join only 50% royalty agencies.. the REAL stuff is that the ones that are paying the lowest comission are the only ones having REAL sales... so it is kind of hard to give up on "smaller" earnings even if they will screw stock business etc I am sure that my pictures and my amount of sales won´t be the cause of the end of stock

this might sound a "wrong" way of thinking but it is the PURE BAD true that I wish agencies/contributors hadn´t put it this way..

Lets try this again. How do you add new images to TS/Hemera? No one else can?

I don't upload and they haven't taken a new image since StockXpert closed and the collection went to TS. They have a bunch of old, small files, most were rejected by every other site, so I'm not losing anything and gaining whatever sells. AKA Free Money. ;)

You can add images to Thinkstock/Hemera through IS.  You're right that you can no longer add images to Thinkstock through StockXpert.

How do you do that, Karimala?  I was pretty sure that Hemera was ONLY the images that were transferred from Stock Xpert???   ???

Karimala

Hemera is associated with IS, not StockXpert.  Unless Getty named the StockXpert collection the "Hemera Collection."  All I'm 100% sure about is you cannot upload images through StockXpert anymore...that ended when they shut down StockXpert.  You can only add images to Thinkstock through IS now.  You have to opt-in your images at IS to have them available for sale on TS.

I don't believe that's right, Karin.  Hemera is the name iStock gave the StockXpert content in ThinkStock; the content from iStock itself is labeled as iStockphoto.  For example, these two images of mine from SX and iStock.

LOL you better read what Karin said.. that´s exactly the same you said eheh

iStock is a separate collectionwithin Thinkstock.  As is, Hemera.  Hemera is a collection of the images that were transferred from Stock Xpert.  It no longer grows.  The iStockphoto collection is the one that continues to be fed by iStock.

At least, that is my understanding.

luissantos84

yep we all saying the same, don´t get the mess! :P

Karimala

LOL  Before Getty bought Jupiter/StockXpert, remember they added the Hemera Collection to iStock?  I wasn't paying much attention, so I'm wondering if maybe the StockXpert stuff went in there, because Hemera is not a new collection.

Sorry Luis, but no, she isn't saying the same thing.  She's trying to say that you can upload to Hemera through Istock.  You can't, for exactly the reason Disorderly explained.  I have bolded the relevant text since you seem to have overlooked it ;)
