I'm planning on signing on with the Co-op program. For those who have Symbio sites how are you marketing them?
I doubt that the integrated SEO is enough, correct me if I'm wrong.
Are you finding that social media is necessary/effective? I'm old school and am not into FB, Twitter, etc....in all honesty, I'm hoping to be able to avoid that all together but in today's marketplace I'm wondering if that's even possible....
Stock agencies used to be a great and dependable way to generate significant income from photography but as time goes on.....not so much, at least in my experience. So, I'm looking for alternatives and I like the Symbiostock idea but if social media is a necessary component I may be looking elsewhere.

Contacting possible clients directly would be a good way maybe you can offer local content to make it more attractive for designers, ad-agencies in your area.

there are a number of different approaches -- http://cascoly.com/promote.asp (http://cascoly.com/promote.asp)
there's also a SEO & Marketing section at symbiostock.org
- just a note for anyone considering a co-op site - i'll be leaving on our trip next Monday, so need to strat soon to get any new sites installed before then - I'll be able to do site maintenance but no new sites until mid-June

Thanks, Steve. That's helpful stuff.
