Hi all,

I am using YOAST sitemaps, and they seem to work, but slow. Leo made a sitemap plugin and I heard they are better.

I just need to know can both version of sitemaps work side by side. Can I just buy the plugin and add the SYS sitemaps to GOogle Webmaster TOols?

If the SYS sitemaps are better and I need to delete the YOAST sitemaps, will that  have an effect of the SEO and placement I have gained over the last few weeks?

Hi Ron, you don't need to delete Yoast it's still recommended as it does everything else really well.  Leo's plugin is just adds some extra features to sitemaps specifically for Symbiostock.

Thanks Amanda. I didnt mean to delete the Yoast plugin, its great. I mean the Yoast sitemaps I am using, can I just add the SYS sitemaps to Google WT so that Yoast and SYS sitemaps are indexed side by side?

You can have more than one site map for your domain - google should index both YOAST and SYSM site maps - it usually takes a week or two but google will crawl the site when it gets time.

I've had great results with both -- and yoast has a lot of analysis & suggestions that will make leo's plugin even more effective.

google seems to update both sitemaps frequently
