Hi
I found my entire portfolio from Veer Marketplace, with the Veer watermarks at photogenica.pl
it seems to be a polish site, and the only word I recognize is "Royalty Free".
Oh by the way they are even on facebook???

To check if your images are there you have to put your pseudonym or name followed by a ##
example:
##yourname

How do I contact Veer to ask about this?

My images arent there (and better dont either). I'm with Veer but not with 123RF...

Mine are there, and they seem to come from different sources...

I think you are right about different sources. They have 533 of my images with only a "copyright" watermark.  I don't have 533 images on Veer, so who knows from where they come . . . .

They have more than 1800 from me, but my overall total is slightly above 1000... so there must be a lot of duplicates.

Thanks for the heads up Chelsey. I did not find any of my images on Photogenica, but I do have images on Veer. Is there a way to opt out of partner programs, if we choose? Thanks.

Indeed, seconding cclapper's question...
Not being able to opt-out is really a dealbreaker for me, full file migration hasnt started yet (i assume because my pictures arent there); could you give us the info BEFORE we'll find our pictures there?

Hi everyone,

I've posted an update here:
http://www.microstockgroup.com/veer-marketplace/veer-reseller-api/new/#new. Cclapper and Artemis, your questions should be answered in the new thread.

Cheers,

Chelsey

Hi
Thanks for replying.
These days is hard to know which site is partner or not.

Monica

Hi all,

Not to worry--the site Monica referenced is a legit Veer partner. We'll have some more details for you next week, but in a nutshell, we've been working on some ways to create exposure for your images in territories Veer doesn't access. Next week's communication should answer any further questions you have. We appreciate your patience!

Cheers,

Chelsey

How come I have more of my pictures at Photogenica than I have at Veer ? In fact, hte number of my images at Photogenica is the exact same number as at 123RF. If Photogenica is both a partner of Veer and 123RF, how can we know which commission we get, 123RF's or Veer's ?

The answer to the opt-out question, from the other thread, is NO.

The problem is we don't get to actually SEE exactly what the images are selling for and the partner royalties AREN'T separated out. There are too many shenigans that can happen and have been going on and I prefer just to opt out.

If you are willing to separate out the royalties that we make from partners and show us EXACTLY what we made from them, I'm ok with the partner program concept. If you are not willing to do that, I may consider not selling on Veer. Contributors should have the right to decide where there images go.

I second that, the industry standard is to allow contributers to opt out and also report all partner sales, this is how almost every other stock site work, why is veer being so sneaky. This is very shady and while I don't suspect veer is doing anything malicious yet there have been plenty of other sites that have,so I can't just take their word for it anymore all trust has been lost and transparency is the only way to go forward...if veer starts partnering up with little sketchy sites without telling us we may have the same issues as when we had mass copyright infringement recently with the pixmac debacle and countless other situations.  This kind of sneaky stuff is really scary after all the nonsense due to lack of transparency. Veer, you absolutely have to be transparent when reselling our work this IS the only ethical/legal thing to do.

Hm I'm wondering - I'm from Poland, Photogenica is from Poland, so maybe it would be more beneficial for me to create account on Photogenica and sell photos here. (Because mine photos are here as well, though it's not said where from.) Wouldn't that be in conflict with selling them on Veer...?

Oh and one more thing - this is absolutely brilliant. :D They have keywords limit (?) because when I look at my squirrel photo on their website: http://photogenica.pl/zoom/9042254/ I see keywords only to letter 'p'. That means that even it's obviously a squirrel in the photo, no one will find it because the 'squirrel' keyword is missing. LMAO! :D

Hi seawhisper,

The image you're referencing is part of 123RF's partner program, not Veer's. (Our skus on Photogenica are prefaced with the three letters "VMP.")  You'll want to get in touch with them regarding the keywording problem you noticed.

http://www.123rf.com/photo_9042254_red-squirrel-in-the-natural-environment.html

With respect to selling your photos both directly through Photogenica and Veer, there's no conflict--Photogenica may vet for similars, but since Veer doesn't have an exclusivity program, you can offer your images on any number of additional sites besides Veer.

Cheers,

Chelsey

Thank you for fast and accurate reply Chelsey! :) I'm not sure whether to join Photogenica or not (but since they're from my city I will give them a call and also tell about the keywords issue, I think that's the fastest way). But Veer already gained my liking, I love sites that does communicate with their users! :)
