For those of you that submit to Yay Micro, how difficult/easy is it to get photos accepted?

I figured I would pick a site I was not on yet and start submitting to them. I tried Yay Micro. I submitted 20 photos to start. All 20 were rejected for "Technical Issues".  I am not sure if I did something wrong with the sizing of the photos or did not meet some requirement, but I know they are large enough.

All photos are with about 10 other sites. If they do not want my photos I am fine with that, but I am trying to determine if I did something wrong and can correct it.

Thanks for any help you can provide

I haven't uploaded there in a long time.  Just uploaded a big batch a few days ago and I had 32 rejected, mostly for technical issues.  Never had that problem before and some of these have been accepted with every other site I use.  There's really no incentive for me to upload again, as they don't sell much and have become more fussy than the sites that have buyers.

I sent an email too and the rejected ones are being put back in the review queue.  Hopefully they will be OK this time.

In my last two batches I got a better acceptance ratio with Shutterstock than Yay. The last batch was 20% rejection at SS, 100% at Yay. I sent an email to ask if this was a mistake, but it was logged as a "focus issue". I even sent a test file from the batch to IS, and they accepted it too.

I have had decent sales with Yay, but I don't know if I can be bothered with complaining in detail to them about every issue. Guess they've got a visit by Attila. I'll hold the uploads until he goes on vacation or gets new glasses.

Mine were also put back in the approval queue.

I got a response back to my email saying that they should not have been rejected and that they were put back for approval.  I will see what happens this time around.

It was nice to at least get a quick response back to my mail.

The mail also said they are currently putting a new approval system in place which could have been the cause.

I had a near 100% record with them and then, a few days ago 100% refusal on one batch. I resubmitted and all where accepted. They either had a technical problem or a new reviewer who spilled his beer (brains) on his keyboard's delete button.......

Ah so its not just me!!! experienced 100% rejections a couple of times wrote to them and got some "helpful" advice but repled saying as many images were accepted on the likes of Shutterstock,Dreamstime,Fotolia so I wouldn't be spending time on improving the images for a low sales site.

I'm relatively new to this game and have had stuff accepted on there that I'd now be embarrassed to send!!

Of the 32 that were put back in the queue, 14 were rejected this time.  That's better, at least they accepted most of the ones that are already selling.

Some of mine are still pending and some have again been rejected for Technical Issues. The email I got said that if this happened, to let her know and she would talk to the reviewers.

I will reply one more time and let the person that answered my mail know what is going on, but not sure if I will continue uploading more images or not.

Why are you removing accepted files? Three of my files have gone from accepted to pending review. One of them has over 100 sales on other sites; what is going on?

We sent a lot of images back for re-approval today. But, most of them (90%) is because the images are too similar to other images in the portfolio. There might also be some images sent back that shouldn't be. If your images are rejected, and you feel they should not have been - please e-mail me at [email protected]. I'll make sure to look into it for you. Remember to keep the images in the rejected folder, and include your username in the e-mail.

Thanks,

Linda :)
