I've had no access problems in the last few days (or ever, really. I only remember it being unaccessible to me once, very briefly, in three years.)

I'm getting this:

Network Access Message: The page cannot be displayed Explanation: There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed.

Try the following:
Refresh page: Search for the page again by clicking the Refresh button. The timeout may have occurred due to Internet congestion.
Check spelling: Check that you typed the Web page address correctly. The address may have been mistyped.
Access from a link: If there is a link to the page you are looking for, try accessing the page from that link.
Technical Information (for support personnel)
Error Code: 403 Forbidden. The server denied the specified Uniform Resource Locator (URL). Contact the server administrator. (12202)

Oh, sorry; I thought you meant the whole site was down.
Yes, I've seen a few error messages when accessing the forum in the past week. I close the tab and open another one.

What sort of page are you trying to refresh?
I just did a search for 'horse' and refreshed the page and it was fine.
I also refreshed a forum page and it was fine.

I have had problems uploading recently, which hadn't happened for ages though it was common when I started. I.e. some files randomly fail upload while others go up no bother, but on trying a few times, they're accepted That's definitely a problem with the system, not the files, which were reported in the uploader as 'cannot access the file' or 'file not available in that location' or somesuch nonsense.

No issues, all aspects of the site and the forum are working for me, including the continues presence of a bunch of stuck up frustrated togs constantly giving out about micros... 8)

I can access search, individual files, My Alamy and the forums.
I've got a small batch waiting to be uploaded. I'll give that a try.

odd, when I cut and paste alamy.com into the bar I get no site, www.alamy.com does work and forwards to http://www.alamy.com/#loc=all no problem.

stan have you tried going through a Google search? that works too.

Yes, alamy.com only does give that error message.
I usually have the tab up when I fire up FF, and if I don't, when I click a new tab, it's one of my 'most visted' sites FF offers me, so I just click on the page there.

i had same problem last night but i was operating through my phone. While i was able to open the site from my pc. I just cleared the cookies in my cel and typed the site address in stead of using the bookmark. No problem today. But it seems no updates are done in  alamy on Friday nowadays.

I had to change my bookmark for Alamy yesterday (to add the www) as I was getting the same error. I don't know why they changed things, but the site's fine once you update the URL

Same here. All I did was add the www to the alamy.com and it worked again. Some web indexing error in the DNS somewhere.
