When I first went non-exclusive a few years ago I could reliably make about $100 a month at BigStock.  However over the past couple of years sales have declined, declined, declined and I'll be lucky if I now reach $10 in a month instead of $100.

Clearly this isn't worth the time and effort, so I've decided to stop uploading.

Perhaps others here have a different experience, but for my portfolio I clearly have to take decisions.

Good luck to anyone still active there.

I'll still upload on BigStock, and other slow sites.  It's not really that much trouble if I'm uploading to other, more active sites at the same time.

If Shutterstock starts doing stupid stuff with BigStock, that will be different.  But, so far, no slimy thieves or gaping security holes.

The main problem I have with uploading on BigStock is that the uploader breaks.  Some images, after keywording and submitting, still show up as unfinished.  I just delete them, and stop uploading for the day.

Reviews are really fast, which is nice.

I always figured BS was where SS played around with ways to take a bigger chunk of the pie, so I stopped uploading there. If I had known that they would keep the perpetual .38 cents with the bridge to BS (instead of it only lasting one year as they said when they first announced it) I'd have gone with that.

When Tim and dawn Owned it, it was a great site. and best commissions out there. SS ruined it.

I'm amazed Shutterstock still bother with it. Not so long back they invested more in it apparently ...odd

I think what's happening is that Shutterstock isn't bothering with it.  It's just running on automatic.

The most I ever made with BS is $161 in 2017 since then it collapsed even with constant uploading last year I made $61 with over 2,700 images.

It's now officially a waste of time uploading there.

This definitely looks to be on autopilot as was mentioned. I haven't uploaded new content there in quite some time.

Will probably be the agency I drop in 2020 (2019 was GL Stock)
