If you have some kind of emergency that is valid you can contact them and ask for help. Otherwise, you agreed to their terms when you joined so you will be treated just like everyone else there. If you do something that is not legal just to expedite things, the evidence will follow you to other sites.

 I emailed them in the beginning if they would delete my port, they wouldnt and held me to the agreement. I had to wait an antagonizing 6 months to get out. I was deactivating images as soon as the quota would let me. At some point I identically reactivated an image and had to wait another 6 months. But I emailed them and begged them to set me free, I begged not be held hostage over one image. And they deleted my portfolio straight away and kept the 11 dollar they owned me. So I am a free man, but you have to stick to the 6 months. What you can do is delete all keywords and replace them with one word 7 times the same word that noone will look for, and change all descriptions to meaningless stuff. For example you can change the description to This image is not for sale.

One day you may be happy that you had such a long time to change your mind if you want to leave DT because you want to become exclusive elsewhere. :-)
Locking in people for 6 months is stupid idea - on the other hand I don't find "spamming in blog" to be wiser. Agreements are to be kept no matter how stupid they are (by both sides - which unfortunately usually doesn't happen in microstock business).

At least one person grasping that you can not persecute the agencies for the same thing you happily accommodate in the case of a contributor. Then I do not have much sympathy if the same people cries about agencies screwing them. So minus or ignore this as well.

When I first started at Dreamstime and iStock in 2007, I was a terrible contributor. Lots of rejections. The stuff that made it through seemed to sell decently, and I spent a lot of time muttering under my breath about reviewers.

During that time more than one reviewer at DT helped me out with very useful advice on how to make my images more marketable. A first and a last in microstock. Ultimately it was up to me to improve as a contributor, and I did. I'm no Lisa FX, but I'm pleased that today I have an acceptance ratio in excess of 90%, and a DL to upload ratio which exceeds 8. I consider DT my favorite agency to work with. I make more at SS and IS, but I have more faith in DT to do right by me than any of the other Big 4.

I totally understand people's frustration with the Similars Policy. But what I don't get is why contributors sign the 6th month agreement, get a bunch of image rejections, and then take to the message boards to complain about the agreement they signed. What's the hurry? Just wait out the 6 months and leave. What's the worst that could happen? You might get a sale while you are waiting.
