I really do not get it. The company is giving some of its contributors free software (nobody forced Adobe to do so and it is not its obligation) and so many people are complaining and considering it as fail etc.

Of course, it would be fine if there is an illustrator bonus program as well and/or ability to purchase various Adobe softwares separately instead of buying all applications at once (why one cannot buy Photoshop/Illustrator or Photoshop/Premiere bundle at some reasonable price...) but to consider not giving free software for all as a fail? I do not think so.

Completely agree.
Everybody likes to be payed for his works. Is it not this the reason why every day there are complaints about how poor is the monet that agency is paying us.
And now there is Adobe that give away for free high value software for contributors. It's a great move in my opinion. They take care of contributors.
They are interested in more photos and clips, so this is the reason. Maybe they are not interested in more illustration arts, I don't know, but it's completely up to them to choose what and when give away.

Complaints for this is a nonsense. Everyone in this forum want to be payed for his work. Also Adobe want to be payed for its software. Of course they think that the giveaway can give them more advantage in long run.

BTW I received my code, thanks Adobe, another good move!

Isn't this a contributor - indipendant producer forum? We support each other and we are equally members as contributors to agencies. Or artists or whatever the right name is. There is are no discriminations right? If some people want to protest and gain a subscription on the basis that are equal contributors to all others it is their right to do so. And I hope Adobe to correct this.

:)

BTW i won't receive a code, i dont contribute there but thanks Adobe for the great products that make our life and work easier.

I hope so 😊 but "indipendent" doesn't means that every single compliant is the right one 😏

We support each other and we are equally members as contributors to agencies. Or artists or whatever the right name is. There is are no discriminations right?

For sure, but this is a commercial business and Adobe, like everyone else, take decision for its own business model, as each one of us do.
We (contributors) are not friends, we work in a high competitive business.
And they (Adobe and other agencies) work in a high competitive world too.
We make our choice and selection. They do the same.
That's all

Of course I think it would be great from Adobe to give to illustrator artists a nice rewards as they do for photographers and video makers but... This is a commercial business choice, not a gift for everyone. They do what is good for them, and this is very normal. Also for us.

They should just give free codes to anyone who nets over US$1500 a year.

Hi Matt,
I can't seem to find an answer to these questions anywhere, and while I think I know the answer, what content is included in each of the giveaways.
For example do animations or motion templates qualify as "video assets"?
Does the photography plan include all assets (including video and illustration)?
Is video that is included in the photography plan then still available to be counted for the complete plan?
Thanks, and also thanks to Adobe for resolving my issue last year and coming through with the giveaway.

Also received my code (second year)
While sales are nothing to write home about these kind of gestures make me want to stick with Adobe Stock.
These are tough times for us stock contributors so any financial help is welcome!

Thanks Adobe!

Same thing but the account corrected itself to the correct renewal date in 24 hours - I also got an email from adobe confirming redemption of the code.

Maybe I'm being too impatient but I wanted to ask. I had my last batch of images accepted over a week ago and now have over the 300 required images accepted for 2019. I haven't heard anything from Adobe yet so I was wondering if I need to just be patient and wait longer or if there's anything additional that I need to do.

Thanks!

Bonus codes are sent out in waves and are not issued immediately when you reach the threshold. If you met the requirement, we'll send you a code shortly.

Kind regards,

Mat Hayward

Maybe you should consider joining?  :)

I got the code last year, I probably won't this year. Still a nice give-away and free trial experience. I think mine expires this month, I just didn't use it enough. Lightroom Classic was just right.

As a joke i would reply that if it isn't written in the contract it doesn't count.

It is indeed a nice move from Adobe side and i envy those that get it.
But considering overall time uploading and correct submitting
just for the free code don't justify the effort.
Assuming no sales starting over from a blank portfolio.

There are various ways to get a free subscription, e.g. Adobe editing contest.
And that is a great opportunity to remind Matt that Greece EU wasn't included last year.
Just saying....

:P

Mat is the ultimate authority but I can say that years ago when I had more than the two allowed computers, running something Adobe, I had to write to support and have them deactivate one computer, before I could change the registration to a different computer. Whatever the limit for CC, I thought it was two systems? You will need to deactivate one before you can activate a new one.

Greetings @Mat Hayward, is the link maintained for a year or does it expire?

I do not plan to use the code in a few months. Should I get the code through the link and can I use it at any time, or does the link activate the code at that time?

Thank you

This year's code is valid 12 months from when you receive it. Once you redeem it the software is activated for 12 months. Don't worry I haven't redeemed last year's yet never mind this year's.

Thank you Pablito

I still don't know the system. I don't know if the link takes me to the 12-month counter, or simply gives you a code. I don't know if the period starts since the code is granted or since the cloud registration is done or since the link is clicked. I don't know if in February 2020 the link doesn't work anymore. I don't know if the link gives you the code and can be saved until February 2020.

I'm afraid I have two options, give the link now and find out or activate the link in February and find out what's going on.
