Anyone else experiencing a rediculous amount of rejections. I started at about 50% and got up to 70% acceptance. Last 3 uploads have been 0% (10 images ) and 15% (for 20 images). What . is going on?! Accepted by other libraries.

Should I just wait and resubmit later on?

Always had a very low approval rate at FT. Much lower than most other sites.

     My  acceptance  has  been  good  but  there  are   a  lot  of  rejections.  I'll  take  the  acceptances  over  rejection  anytime.

For me it is the opposite, my rejections are bad, but I do get a few acceptances.

Of all the sites I have uploaded to over the years, Fotolia is one place where I have never paid attention to rejections. Don't even look at them. I turned off those notifications early on, and never click on the show deletions link on the My Files page. Their rate was higher even back in the 'good old days' and their reasons were useless and meaningless. They get the same uploads as my other top sites and they can sell them or not.

They were also the only place I tried the make rejections free option in the early days. I quickly found out that images that weren't good enough to sell for a quarter got thousands of downloads if it was free. Quit that immediately.

They always have been and remain my #5 site in terms of sales.

heywoody

lots of posts about this - the like certain material and not others and I'm really not sure where quality comes haven't had a rejection since last summer and that was on one of my better efforts.

Exactly the same experience and same approach for me. I still send them everything the other sites get. At least I'll make them spend some time looking at the images.

you'd think for being so super picky that their site would be well curated and a delight to look at.

The equation for FT is fairly simple-

Image Type
Studio=90% + Acceptance

Travel= 30% or less

I have submitted 2,283 images with 1,429 accepted thus a decent size test bed. I rarely submit travel stuff anymore...

I've sold few studio images and more of my dog. but I can't get a feeling for what they're about and i think I'm just not the style they're after.

That's about it. Travel imagery is usually rejected for similarity (even if there aren't similar images). Too bad I like travelling more than working at the studio.

If you want to be accepted on FT, a minimum of 60% of the surface of your image should be white...

Across all micostock sites, there are areas where images are not many. Most of the conceptual categories for FT.  Some of images were accepted by FT because there were not many likes of those.  Also, If you shoot a concept first time and your images fit for very low numbers, you get accepted images even if there are technical issues.  For example "faulty mobiles" do not make much of numbers for existing images on MS sites.

Subjects like flowers, trees and flowing water have very low scope. When in doubt, check always the rating at picniche. More flooded images in a category or of that type, more chances of rejection. I abide by these observations.
