I try to be strong and keep going, but then I see the sales and they are really too disappointing.

I'm trying these videos consistently now,but will my consistent way be consistent enough?

will there ever be anything that is ever substantial enough?

It seems to me that here we do nothing but run, always run,but without ever getting anywhere!  :D

Which is why it's better to try new options. I don't know your work, so it's difficult to give advice. But maybe try some higher priced options, like Stocksy (btw I applied to Stocksy 2-3 times already and was declined every time - so my work can't be that good  :D). Maybe try POD if it works with your kind of content. I'm sure there are other options out there.

Stocksy I think it's very difficult to be accepted, never actually tried, who knows maybe in the future but I don't think so,POD no,it's not for me.

I am 100% sure that if I don't succeed on Adobe I will give up on microstock, and with all digital content in all its forms.

I'm trying new things,in fact with these AI videos, the problem is that the review times are very long,It takes at least a month before the reviews begin, now my videos are at 17 days,in 2 weeks then they will arrive in chain.

then I'm pretty sure the problem is my portfolio, which even though it has thousands of sellable contents, needs to be cleaned up and fixed.

that's why what I'm going to do is continue to work on these videos and in the meantime I'm going to clean up my portfolio, leaving all the videos, all the content that has already been sold at least once and a small selection of content that has never been sold.

thousands of contents still need to be deleted in my opinion,at the latest by the end of the year, but probably much sooner.

then of course, once I have at least a couple thousand videos, and my portfolio sorted,if even then things don't change, then it's not up to me,and I can't do anything about it,so it will be the end.

I still have this last road to try,so I'd better get back to work for now, there's nothing else I can do!

Had a better week this week than the last two weeks...

I am stuck at below 100 files a week.

I got an ai illustration accepted quickly, hope this works for a few more. Otherwise camera video it is.

I think you said 4 dollars was your rpd for video on istock?

While it is low for video it is much better than for photos.

eta

another ai video accepted after 21 days. I use kling 1.6 and only upsize to full hd, usually just 5 seconds that I extend to 5.5 or 6 sec.

i sometimes overlay it with real video of lights, sparkles, snow or rain effects.

not a video pro, still using final cut pro.

otherwise I am processing camera videos from the last 3 years.

Cobalt,

Yes  it was RPD of 45 cents ($0.45) for photos and RPD of $4.34 for video on iStock in April which is almost 10x for video than photos.

Congrats, for me, video RPD at Istock is low: Jan:1.5$. Feb: 1.4$. March: 1.3. April: 1.35$.

Thank you for the stats.

For me it is around 63 cents for photos and something around 1.30 for video.

Perhaps the video average will go up if I have more videos and thus more chances for the occasional higher priced sale.

istock is by far the lowest seller for video. Don't understand why they make them so cheap.

this is one of my highest rankings ever despite modest sales so far this week.  i had a huge batch of sales last week. someone bought 23 items (very similar theme) which has me worried a bit.

My average for video sales on Istock is also $1.3.

I might remove all my videos and keep photos only.

You cannot delete your files from istock, or did I miss something?

I will keep uploading until I reach 6k clips and then I will see if I get more of these higher priced sales.

People keep telling me with around 12k clips you make 600-1200 on istock a month.

I might be selective though, there might be some content that only goes to agencies with better sales.

But I lots of simple daily life moments and food shots that can go anywhere.

Also hoping the merger brings more sales to istock.

You should record your best weekly high / low for each month and then in the future you'll know whether you're just following seasonal patterns or, if there really has been a drop in sales.

For me, this time of year tends to be quiet (Pos 700 this week) but I can tell from looking at my all time best /worst for May that that position is norm, a bit better, and is a similar position compared to last years  best /worst weekly rank for May.

I would bet that most peoples weekly position is a reflection of seasonal demand based on the content of the portfolio rather than a direct impact on the number of photos uploaded / accepted.

I have stockperformer, so I can track sales easily.

For Adobe May is on track to be around 15% less than May 24.

While I usually have a summer slump, I am sure if I had been allowed to upload normally May 25 would have seen a good improvement over 24.

But this morning I had 4 instant acceptance for ai illustrations. Maybe there is some hope.

Camera video and photos have normal acceptance. So now I just have to wait for ai photos to get regular videos.

For ai video I now had a clip accepted where the underling ai image was declined as too similar.

I am very pleased with the new upload limits which help to clear up the queue.

I know I should be producing more camera jpgs/objects on white, but now I am working off my video backlog.

My numbers have dropped significantly in recent weeks... currently 56 downloads (it should be around 70-75 on Wednesday afternoon).

What's much more dramatic is the fact that I haven't sold any videos for exactly 14 days normally I have about 10 video downloads per week, currently exactly 1 video download in 14 days.

Something has been changed in "the Algo" again, which has completely removed my videos from sales...

Monday was a public holiday in the US, Thursday is a public holiday in Germany.

Might be like a holiday or spring vacation week.

Thank you, Jasmin! But usually my rank is not better than yours. Someone bought a lot of my pictures of girls with custom-made bijouterie in the past few days. And now I'm afraid that Adobe will block me on suspicion of unusual activity, as it happened before with some other artists.

I'm kind of sad right now. My weekly earnings should be higher (actually much higher than yours right now) - but... sadly the last few months have been very low. Quite concerning, don't know why. But good job. Now I need to figure out how to get my earnings not only back where they should be, but improving significantly.

Thanks, since I started to create and upload almost only videos, my earnings have increased. For the images I take a couple of frames of my videos and upload them as is.

here are my sales so far this week,as I said,I hope they change the system by which sales work soon, the old system is outdated and too vulnerable to fraud.

I will continue to work in June too, after the free collection I will try the extreme solution of mass deleting a couple of thousand old and outdated contents,I've already deleted about 300 in May.

I will keep all the videos, all the content that I have already sold at least once, and a small selection of the unsold ones,in an attempt to improve the overall quality of my portfolio, and increase the percentage of content sold.

after this operation, which should happen immediately after the payment for the free collection, things must start to change,If there is no improvement by the end of June I will stop until I see a change,if that ever happens.

objectively,it's also becoming boring.
